A For Antoinette
First chanced upon Antoinette, a cafe specialising in meticulously crafted pastries, in an article and I was quite taken with the decor of the place as well from the pictures in the article. With that said, I just hafta check it out and live out my Parisian fantasy!
The cafe's a hidden gem within walking distance from Lavender MRT station, and surprisingly, it was quite packed when we went there for lunch after service! We waited for a little bit before we got a table. I love how the cutlery and napkins were all labelled with an "A" in gold and that makes everything look very chichi. And oh yes, the furniture... to die for.
So we had lunch, tea (chamomile for me, earl grey for Kev) and of course... desserts! We settled on Antoinette, a milk chocolate mousse infused with earl grey tea topped with a sphere pregnant with liquid raspberry, and Le Royale, a dark chocolate mousse. The Chocolate Bar buffet has really changed the way I'm enjoying my chocolates now, so Le Royale tasted kinda average to me but the pairing of earl grey tea with milk chocolate was a brilliant move for the Antoinette, it was just divine.
It's such a lovely place that we were there for a long while before we decided to leave. I can see myself coming back soon enough to try the other desserts ;)
