It's June, and officially winter despite the fact that the weather past week was definitely more chilly than what I expected of fall. I used to be able to get away with not moisturising my skin (face & body) on a nightly basis before I sleep, but not any longer. I think two days ago, I woke up with ashy looking skin with dry patches on my legs, dry rough lips and my face felt really tight and uncomfortable. It's as if winter came overnight while I was unaware, that or I really should be using a proper moisturiser instead of applying slobs of aloe vera gel in the dark all over my face just because it was on my bedside table.
So... I've decided to step up on my game and really winter-proof my skin this time around!

Right now other than using my Lush soap, I'm using Kiehl's Superbly Restorative Body Cleansing Oil that was in my CLEO Bag of Swag. I have two bottles of it, one left in Singapore and one over here. When I first tried it in Singapore, it didn't really work for me because I was left feeling oily and uncomfortable after my shower and that is probably because of the climate too. But in Australia, this product is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It contains argan oil that has restorative and protective properties on the skin and salicylic acid which encourages the sloughing of dead skin cells. Sounds pretty awesome a product to be used for winter even though that glowy, moisturised skin remains hidden under those layers of warm clothing.
My review: It has a very light, natural fragrance, isn't moisture-stripping and always leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. This always makes me wanna quickly slather body lotion after my shower because I wanna lock in all that goodness. I've used almost one-fifth of it over the past weeks and I hope I'm not depleting it too fast because I want it to last all winter!

I use Lavender Vanilla body lotion from Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy range after my shower. I passed my wishlist to Jennifer and it was one of the products she got for me when she was in US. Although I'm not a fan of lavender scents, it was paired with vanilla and the sleep mist I had was lavender chamomile, so how bad could it be right?
It contains soybean oil that nourishes and moisturises the skinand moisture-attracting glycerin in it.
My review: It's a creamy lotion and I like to mix in pearl powder because it aids in whitening hahaha. It smells pleasant but it's not a favourite scent of mine, works like a pretty decent moisturiser too. This product will be part of my Project Hit the Pan (which I will talk about it soon) because I wanna finish it soon so I can try the Blackcurrant Vanilla lotion =P
Alrighty, that's the two products I'm using now and I'll write more soon!
