I was never really a fan of Michael Jackson, and the only songs by him that I know of were limited to Smooth Criminal, Heal the World and Black or White. Having him being labelled as 'Jacko Wacko' and being accused of being a paedophile didn't leave a good impression on me as well.

Anyhows, I finally caught Michael Jackson's This Is It movie this afternoon. I never quite understood why people referred him as the King of Pop prior to the movie. But after the movie, I can see why some celebrities see him as an inspiration.

He was a real entertainer/ performer (read: he doesn't lip-sync), and he knew all his songs by heart. I see his dedication to his craft and how hands-on he was when it came down to the music arrangement. The videos shot for the different songs were interesting. If he were still alive, I'm sure the concerts would be really awesome. Scratch that, awesome's not good enough to describe just how mind-blowing the whole experience will be. I found myself bopping along to his 'performance' while watching the movie and 130 minutes just flew by without me noticing.

Now excuse me while I go download his songs...
