It was an impromptu decision that I decided to go to Sydney. I got my tickets (with the credit I got from the refund of my supposed Melbourne trip for the cheerleading finals) and accommodation booked a couple of days before the departure.
Travelling alone is a first for me, well kinda since I made my way to Sydney on my own before meeting Sam there.

It wasn't difficult getting around. In fact other than feeling a general sense of thrill and excitement, I wasn't the least afraid of getting lost or anything. Upon hopping off the plane, I headed straight for the train station and got a ticket.

Waiting for the train to come

When the train arrived, I was awed like a little child. A double-decked train! The first I've ever seen =D So of course I sat on the upper level... And it's so cool that you can actually change directions of your seats (facing forward or backwards) according to your preference!!

Most stations on this Airport Link was underground... and finally I get a glimpse of Sydney!

Wasn't too long before I got off at Wynyard where Sam was waiting :) We then headed off to Napoleon on Kent to drop off my bag and we're off to explore the CBD area! It's a bustling city, very cosmopolitan, very much like Singapore. Maybe it's just me but it feels like how I imagine New York to be, with stands selling magazines or flowers at every street corner/ junction :)

Everywhere's pretty much accessible by walking, probably because the place where we were staying at was in the CBD area but that's how I like it. Will write more about the places visited and the variety of foods tasted soon!
