We woke up bright and early to prepare egg-mayo sandwiches for everyone before heading down to meet the rest at Hertz on Charlotte Street at 7:30am. After collecting the car, we were well on our way to Slickers Horse Riding!

We got there really early, so we sat down on the benches and ate our sandwiches as we waited. It was a really long wait because we had booked for the ride at 11am. We played games, and took photos of the horses while killing time. We walked around pretty carefully because horse droppings were aplenty over here. Overall it's a pretty decent place, it even had a pretty decent washroom that smells of nice soap! I thought we would hafta rough it out since the whole layout of the place seemed pretty rustic so it was a pleasant surprise.

Soon it's time to mount our horses! We were all assigned to our horses based on our height and weight. Joson's horse is Victory and mine's Texas.
Victory has issues with Texas so we needa be separated with one horse in between. So, Geri was in between us both while waiting for everyone to get on their horses. My poor sister was the last to get on the horse and she was being teased that they were gonna give her a pony instead hahah! In the end, she got on the biggest horse and I wouldn't say it's appropriate for her size... but she's still in one size isn't she? Hehe

Texas and I
OMG, Tex shat and I could feel it happening! There's this slight rumbling vibration that I felt and Joson told me that it's him shitting. -.-"
After everyone has gotten onto their horses, we were taught simple commands on how to control the horses. We then formed a line and followed the first horse. The horses pretty much knew where to go, once they see the horse in front of them move, they'll begin to move as well. We just needed to stop, steer right/ left when needed to as they aren't aware of how close you get to tree branches or bushes. So we rode through grassy plains and we even saw a wild kangaroo! =D After a while, we even try trotting! =D It was sooo much fun as compared to the normal walk but it was only for a short while.
When we got back to the stable, we took a group shot of us all on our horses before we headed back to the car. We then started munching on the snacks that were brought along before we made our way to our next destination: Strawberry Fields!

We can't eat strawberries while picking, sadly :(

We each picked up a tray to fill up with strawberries! There are two types of trays, 500g and 1kg. Of course we chose the 500g tray. How do you finish 1 kg of strawberries within a week!?
It was really fun picking out strawberries :) We moved from aisle to aisle, picking red, ripe strawberries. We all picked different types of strawberries, Joson chose the hugeass ones, while the girls mostly picked the small, cutesy or normal sized ones. Hahaha!

Here's me and my haul for the day
We then got our trays weighed and we paid accordingly to the weight. After that, we washed a few of our freshly picked strawberries to try.

My sister with her strawberry

I saw a swing and I couldn't resist running towards it. When was the last time you sat on a swing?

I guess we all have a child in us, no matter how old we are. :)
After that, we headed back to Brisbane for foodski. First stop, we went to Sunnybank to try the Taiwanese snacks. It was my first time whereas the rest had been here before. First time eating QQ-ban, fried mushrooms and it was pretty good! :) After that we went to Sunnybank Hills where the Just Soy Cafe was located and ordered a bowl of soy custard with lemon syrup. Verdict? Was never a tauhuay fan, and never will be =S We then went to this place for late night dim sum which I can't remember where, but oh man I enjoyed my food! :) I think we got home around 11 something and I'm pretty sure we were all quite tuckered out so we went to bed pretty soon after our shower. Nice Saturday out with friends :)
