Byron Bay with mates

I'm finally getting started on my backdated entries... Hahaha!

Daryl came over to Brisneyland on Oct 31. Thank goodness I was done with all my assignments by then and I can go and hang out with them =D One of the things we did together was to watch the sunrise at Byron Bay.

The crew came and picked me up at 3am, and Yi-Long drove with Daryl keeping watch while Adila and I got some shut-eye. Then halfway through the journey, we girls took over and then the guys rested. It was soo hard to stay awake. We were speeding and thank goodness we made it in time! Oh, we crossed into New South Wales and it feels so weird! Haha, suddenly the time is like what, 1 hour ahead?

The place is amazing. And so, so, so, so cold!

watching the sunrise

After watching the sunrise, we walked up to the lighthouse.

Me, Yi-Long & Daryl.

Love the pictures of the lighthouse :)

We then went down to the beach area and settled down on the benches, where we whipped out our packed breakfast which consisted of bread, egg mayo, peanut butter, tuna, Tim Tams, and Milo cereals. It was so hilarious watching the guys experimenting different fillings for their bread. Tuna with milo cereals and Tim Tams, hehehe

It was really early in the morning like what, 7ish but there were people already strolling on the beach and catching waves. We hung around a little more before heading back to the car and took a 1-2 hours nap.

It was about 9 in the morning when we were all up. Got changed into my swimmers in the toilet nearby and we received a parking coupon from this really nice Japanese couple who were tourists and were leaving already. So we saved on parking fees because the coupon lasts till 12pm! Just plain awesome =D

Down on the beach... It's so hot already!

Slip, slop, slap! I'm using a sunblock with SPF 50+ and has whitening properties, and I still got darker!

Whenever it was getting too hot to be sunbathing, we just headed straight for the sea which was really cooling and refreshing. The waves were really huge too!

Yi-Long & Daryl

We decided to leave at around 11ish. We got cleaned up and then popped by Fish Heads for fish & chips!

Yum! :)

We walked around a lil bit, checked out the shops and had ice-cream from Baskin' Robbins! :) I have this thing about having ice-cream whenever I'm at the beach or the weather is hot.

After that we went to another beach, which I cannot remember the name... Rainbow beach? I can literally feel my heart bloom with love when I see the God's lovely creations.

And I had another ice-cream. Hahaha!

It was really windy... Makes the heat a little more bearable.

After that, we decided to head back to Brisbane... with Adila pointing out interesting sights and landmarks along the way... Totally crashed out on the ride back man. Yi-Long was slightly delirious and it was so funny... The things he say/do.. Hahah! We then dropped by Woolies on the way back to their house to pick up some groceries because Adila and Yi-Long were gonna prepare dinner tonight. :)

While waiting for dinner, I got started on True Blood =D Dinner was nice, sitting on the balcony and all... and then they sent me home where I got my much-needed rest :)

Some other fun things we did together included:
- Enjoying the night scenery on Mt. Cootha
- Checking out Glass House mountains
- Stopping by Redcliffe
- Stopping by the roadside to eat Domino's pizza =D
- Wet n' Wild with the guys
- Supper at Pancake Manor
