Quick recap of the days/week that zoomed by:
Sunday (16th Mar):
Met up with Siti at Jurong East MRT station before we made our way down to Kallang Leisure Park. We saw Miss Aloha while waiting for Syaza to meet us at Kallang MRT! Hahaha, it's been a long time since I last saw her =D We took a bus down to Kallang Leisure Park and by the time we arrived, we missed Karenn's performance in the all-girls stunt group category. =( Thank God for technology, (think it was) Karenn filmed it down so we can watch it manymanytimes online now!
Watched Magnum juniors do their thing in the open category, and I'm really happy and proud for them :) They've challenged themselves with stunts that others have yet to showcase, performed with great spirit and flashed us smiles so bright (and wide) that Colgate/ Darlie should consider asking them to be in their next advertisement. I love the marching/military band theme this year and of course Horny got a new set of uniform! :) *love it!* As for the defending champions, NTU Aces did a good job with the winning formula - and presented a stable, neat and clean routine. Uniform-wise, I prefer last year's because this year's uniform reminds me of a certain festival :) Overall, the cheerleading standards have improved by leaps and bounds. It also made me feel that it doesn't matter if a couple of stunts doesn't go up during practices because in the end, all that matters is what you bring to the competition mats in that 2-3 minutes. :)
Monday (17th Mar):
Met up with Jenn, Juleen, Kenny and James for dinner at Clarke Quay. We settled at Riverside Indonesian Restaurant, and the food was good! :) Popped over to The Coffee Club, hung out and chit-chatted for a while before I jumped into a cab and headed home.
Tuesday (18th Mar):
Colbie Caillat's showcase at Movida! We were there late because of *AHEM!* someone, hor Ariel? Hahahaha! By the time we got to Movida, it was packed and luckily we managed to find Jane and put down our stuff. :) We were seated at the side, so we only got the side view of the stage, but it was better than standing in the sea of people and looking at the backs of people. There was minimal interaction, and after a while her songs started sounding the same... so yah. :) After that, it was home sweet home. :)
Wednesday (19th Mar):
I came into office in the morning and saw people combing the office, and checking out every nook and cranny. It turns out that there was a Easter Egg Hunt in the office; 150 eggs were planted EVERYWHERE and the person who finds the most eggs will win Tangs vouchers. Hahaha damn, these people had a headstart! Didn't join in the fun though :) But it's really nice that we have such activities in the office.
Thursday (20th Mar):
A day of unnecessary heart attacks and miracle-working. *RAWR!* May there never a day like this again, and may everyday be a smooth-sailing one.
Friday (21st Mar):
Javier's 1st month celebration! :) Popped by my uncle's place pretty early in the morning to help with the balloons decorations. Javier's asleep pretty much the whole morning, crying occasionally to get someone to cuddle him in their arms. I thought all babies were cute, but Javier had some baby rashes on his face. Hmmmm, how come I don't recall seeing those rashes on my sisters when they were younger? Anyway, I realised that Kate Rose's suffering from a bout of rashes too. =~( Her arms and legs got stained by the fabric of her new dress, so upsetting! Went home via cab *shhh, don't tell mummy* and waited for our cousins Edbe and Adeline to come by. =D Brought my sisters and Adeline to the Mr Teh Tarik coffeeshop for dinner, and after that we went to get Oxy cream for Kate. Both Edbe and Adeline stayed overnight too heeee! Was going to make Kate Rose a dress together with my mum when the new sewing machine died on us. =| Was dead tired by then, I guess the sisters and cousins slept at 2ish in the morning because when I went to sleep at 1ish, they were still in the living room pretty much awake.
Saturday (22nd Mar):
Went for gym in the morning and forgot to bring my wallet out! Thankfully the counter-staff recognises me and she remembers my membership number, so it was alright. By the time I got back home, Edbe had gone home. So I grabbed something to eat before leaving for my facial at Chinatown. I was there early, so I just hung around sipping on my tea and read the magazines. A new therapist tended to me; she was not too bad but I prefer Lee Min. :) After that, I went to Ikea and then met up with my mum, sisters and Adeline for dinner at the Disney place at Anchor Point. The place is aimed to burn pockets' of parents with Disney-crazed children. There were Disney merchandise at the side for purchase, and the food choices were very limited (not to mention expensive). There are movie screenings everyday and it was High School Musical 1 showing for the day. The food was so-so, and in my opinion anyone in the right mind will just come to this place once for the experience and nothing more. Will upload pictures when I'm free-er! I love the idea of a Mickey-shaped pizza and the hand-washing basin area. :) After that we walked around a bit, went into G2000 and made some damages and headed into yet another outlet store. Then it was dessert time at HK cafe! Ordered fresh almond cream, mango ice and strawberry ice. :) It was a bit too much for the 6 of us hehehe. I didn't really like the strawberry ice, it tasted quite different from the one I had in Taiwan. It seemed like they just used strawberry flavouring with milk. After that, we went home while my mum escorted Adeline home :)
Sunday (23rd Mar):
Spent most of the day trying to pack my room (yet again!), but this time I enlisted the help of Kelila hahaha! My cousins Jeremy and Edbe also came by in the afternoon, and my dad actually went to buy a mahjong set for them to play mahjong! Hahaha, so when they arrived, Kelda, dad, Jeremy and Edbe played, I heard my dad was the biggest winner. They didn't play money lah, it was for the fun of it ahaha! It's nice to see cousins/relatives getting closer after the trip, may we always stay this way!
