Our adventure begins...
The night before (7th Mar):
Bern brought over a new doll for me. He got her because he thought I was upset that Kate Rose was pretty hard to customise but I really wasn't. Everyone, meet Marie! (I think she's a little stuck up.)

Remember I said Kate Rose went for an eye operation? Here she is, looking great with her new brown eyes. :)

Here's the girls' suitcase all chock-ful with shoes, bags and clothings! Marie is helping to flatten the clothes by stepping on them. Hahaha!

Here are the girls, sitting on the chair. :) This will be their first trip overseas!
We finished packing pretty late into the night like about 1ish. I never seem to learn my lesson to pack way in advance. But this can't be helped because I'm sharing my luggage with my sister.
The next day (8th Mar):
Woke up at around 7ish and we all took turns to freshen up before leaving the house. The flight's taking off at 12:45pm, and Kelda, Kelila and I were going to take the public transport while Keller, Mum and Dad will take the cab with all our luggages. We took a bus to Boon Lay and hence we all had seats throughout the journey. =D

We waited for the train to come, and it's here!

Empty seats everywhere!
Soon we reached Changi Airport and we waited quite a while for the shuttle bus service to the Budget Terminal to arrive. Our first time there! Mum was calling like every 5 mins to check on our location, like "Chill! Relax!" -.- Finally the bus came and off we go!

Everyone, say Hi to Momo! That's Kelda's toy hahaha

While Kate seems totally at ease travelling the budget way...

Marie has a leeetle problem. "Huh? You mean we're flying budget?!"

Flying by Tiger Airways :)
We all gathered at the seats for a briefing by my uncle. It was very very hard trying to pay him attention when my eyes keeping roving to his shirt. What's about the shirt you ask? Well, his shirt is... full of holes, literally. It looked like he burnt a cigarette butt through all over his shirt, so you actually see his flesh from the holes! =| The briefing took close to 30 mins and my aunt burst out, "Eh, finishing already anot? Very hungry leh!" Hahahhaha, my uncle looked a little frustrated and we all broke off and headed over to the cafe and grabbed a quick bite.

Kelda, Kelila and I while waiting for the food.
Soon we went into the departure area, the adults were buying cigarettes and alcohol for our relatives in Hainan. Every family has been assigned stuff to get ehehe.
One thing I must say about the Budget terminal is that it's very basic. It looks like a hospital!

Don't tell me that you don't agree with me

Taking photos because we are bored waiting!

Gosh, I love my camera! :) The view outside looks like some advertisement on the glass panel!

Weee! Walking to the plane =D Awesome weather!
I was supposed to have a window seat, but my uncle wants it and thats what he'll get :) The seats were really cramped. =( Very uncomfortable. Imagine staying in one position for close to 4 hours. I was really scared because there was slight turbulence not long after take-off and the plane felt really light. When uncle wanna go to the loo, I was squashed. I had to leave my legs and cross it over my cousin Edbe to let uncle get out. Ahhh!! I'm swearing off budget airlines unless it's a 2-hours flight max. So when uncle's away, I took some pictures of the girls!

The obligatory shot of the view outside
And finally at around 5ish, we landed. Thank God! Cleared the customs and went to collect our luggages.

Yay! We're finally here =D The weather's pretty good, we're walking in an air-conditioned bubble!
We realised that there were another 3 travellers with us on the tour (I thought we took up all the slots). Our tour guide picked us up and brought us to the bus. And I shan't say much about the state of the bus.

Us at the airport

Us on the bus. teehee!
We were well on our way to Wenchang, where our hotel is located. Our tour guide Momo, gave us a very informative introduction to Hainan Island, he talked non-stop for about 1 hour (the time taken to reach our hotel). That's where we found out that the women of the Li tribe (minority group) hafta tattoo themselves on their faces, all over their bodies before they can get married (if not, they will be unwanted), the industries that drive the economy for HaiNan, and much much more.
Finally we reached the hotel!

Marie looks glad to arrive!
We had dinner shortly after. Dinner was nothing to talk about. Actually most meals were nothing to talk about.

But anyway, look who's on the Sprite bottle! (P/S: I love my camera! It auto does the blurring of the background =D)
You know, I really wasn't expecting to spend/shop much... But there was a supermart nearby, so we popped over, got some snacks after dinner. We went back to our room to settle our stuff before meeting our distant relatives for the first time at the lobby.
I must tell you, this is the best room I've stayed on this trip!

I don't know why stuff is always dumped onto my bed. Why ah, why ah.

Love the whole open bathroom concept!

Meet my roomie for the trip!
Since we had some time, time to take photos!

Soon, it was time to head down and meet the relatives! :) It was a good gathering, introducing ourselves and of course, tears were also shed. I met my little cousin, she's so adorable and active for a 4 year-old! It's so hard to get a picture of her :) And I saw the kind and gentle side of Melvin kor when he played with our little cousin. She really likes him alot! Soon, it was already 10ish, and we all went back. Kelda and I went to check out the gym and worked out. Melvin kor also came in and joined us. Hahaha! He even made Kelda do some of the abs exercises! After that, we went back to our room and then hung out a little and showered.

Jeremy kor came by and snapped a picture of us. *teehee*
Melvin kor asked if we wanna check out the disco in the hotel and we said no, so he went off alone. We packed our luggage because we're gonna stay at another hotel the next day, and after we showered, it was close to 1ish in the morning. -.- I cannot do group tours! We hafta wake up at 6:30am (which means I gotta wake up at 6am so there's enough time for the both of us) and we're leaving pretty early in the morning =~(

Marie's all tuckered out and asleep... *shhhh!*
Okay, I'm gonna blog more about the 2nd day and the days after tomorrow (or later tonight)!
