She got me the contacts of the news editor and the supervisoring editor for home section from the media directory. She even helped me to make the letter even more impactful and clearer! Wahsey, my initial 1 page complaint letter became a 4-page letter! 0.0 not bad ahh. and she was telling me that it's a baseball game for all the journalists.
3 strikes, and you're OUT! *hooorayy!*
called up the journalist already and explained to her the misquotations, and our conversation went something like that:
Me: Hey -insert name here-
She: Hi
Me: I read the article already and I realised that there were alot of misquotations during the interview.
She: Is it? What are they?
Me: First of all, the first quote "We are anonymous among the student body".
All I say was that I said in a polytechnic, it's different from high school colleges where everyone knows everyone. We are not that recognised in school unless they have seen us performed or us wearing our team jackets. We dress the same as the rest of the students in school, we are no aliens with additional eyes or ears just because we cheerlead and also some days, we dress more casually because we have training later on in the evenings.
I never did make that statement about us being anonymous.
She: But you're anonymous, right?
And she brushed me off with a "I'm in a meeting now, call you back later" - which she never did. She SMSed me to tell me to "feel free to send me a email at -----@sph.com.sg if you have any queries" just a few minutes after I emailed her editors.
bah. sorry darling, it's a tad too late already. ;)
because....
Look what I've gotten in my e-mail box!

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. (:
