Brisbane Roar Vs Central Coast Mariners

Date: 20 October, Wednesday
*This is yet another overdue entry*

We were all at Suncorp Stadium for the match between Brisbane Roar and Central Coast Mariners! We met at the entrance.

While waiting for other ambassadors to arrive, guess who came and said hi? This is Roary, the mascot for Brisbane Roar :) Then when everyone was present, we were escorted in for a Behind-The-Scenes Stadium tour! =D

We had the chance to walk on the field =D

Wow.

Must take a picture to show that I'm on the field!

TV crew setting up their equipment to capture all the action happening later on.

Us ambassadors taking a seat on the field.

This guy is one of the hosts for the night and he was just explaining to us how they do their thing and to let us know that we'll be appearing on the screen ;)

That' us on the screen! =D

Gamely posing for us

Cute soccer player warming up! =D

Sports journalist...

Warming up.

Look how cute these fellas are playing soccer on the side! :)

While waiting for the game to begin, we went to grab some grub before going back to our seats. We had a really good view :)

The game's gonna begin!

To be honest, I never really liked soccer and I prefer rugby over soccer anyday. I always thought soccer was such a slow-moving game from what I see on TV and I never understood how can guys be transfixed for however long, but today I found out why people call soccer a beautiful game. This game is a mixture of speed and agility.. and it's, I can't believe I'm using this word to describe the game - graceful. The players are graceful in their tackles and movement... wow.

And the Brisbane Roar really has some enthusiastic fans, they were cheering, chanting while standing throughout the match!

And they start cheering young hahaha!

During half-time, we were whisked away.... What's going on!?

Turns out that we have something to do...

We are going onto the field once more!

After that, we went back to our seats to continue watching the game.

The soccer guys pulling up antics after they scored a goal! They won the match for the night :) It's always so much fun to watch matches live. And although the stadium looked quite sparsely occupied, there were over 5, 000 people present! *Usually a rugby match would draw more than 40, 000 people* Going home from the stadium was relatively easy and we all managed to get home fairly quickly :)
