Are we spending our whole lives in front of the computer these days? I can't help but feel that way... With Twitter, Foursquare and Facebook, this whole taking of our lives online and being able to know who is doing what, when, where is getting to me just a touch. And the irony: I recently wrote an article for CLEO about being a social media addict, hah.
I wish I could elaborate but the genius in me, who had this whole entry nicely, perfectly worded about my decision, left me and I can't catch it by its tail fast enough to put it down on paper (not literally). So this is the gist of what I was going to say:
- I'm gonna take my life offline for a while.
- Blackout on Twitter/ Foursquare/ Facebook, MSN even.
- Am considering switching back to using my Motorola instead of my iPhone.
- Anything, text me. Not email me, or FB me, or MSN me.
In actual fact I miss the days where I would go out without my phone and being uncontactable, I kinda like that. To more days spent outdoors, pages in journal scribbled on and littered with sketches, afternoons spent on the balcony reading and much much more.
