Oktoberfest in Brisbane!

So last Thursday, I met up with Deiter, fellow international student ambassador, who kindly passed me an extra pair of tickets to the Oktoberfest! At the same time, Study Brisbane were giving out 6 pairs of tickets to the Oktoberfest event on Friday so I told my sister and Steve to go answer the question on Study Brisbane's Facebook page and guess what, they won themselves a pair of tickets too! =D

I was bogged down with my fashion portfolio assignment which was due on Monday (yesterday) and it was nowhere near done but I thought it was a must to check out the Oktoberfest because:
1) I could use a little time out, let my hair down and have some fun
2) I've never been to an Oktoberfest before be it in Singapore or in Brisbane, and I missed out on last year's.

So we took a bus down and bumped into Deiter and his girlfriend on the way there :) We took a group picture but I deleted it accidentally while transferring them onto my harddrive =~( Anyway, after getting tagged we went to check out the event.

It was really crowded in here! We had to spend some time in looking for a place to sit down. Everyone's really friendly, I think alcohol gets everyone in a cheery mood to have fun hahaha Looks like the rain didn't dampen anyone's spirits!

After getting food into our stomachs, it's time to drink! There were 3 different tickets for sale, and you can get different types of drinks according to different colours

It's such a jolly atmosphere here. Everyone's in a cheery mood, smiling, dancing, exchanging high fives. :)


Queuing up to get beer! I don't usually drink beer but I found it to be surprisingly light after taking a sip from my sister's cup so I decided to get one for myself hahah! We hung around for a while longer before deciding to head back home :)
