Inspirations...

Have been in the fashion lab since 8ish and I have been drawing up a storm. Fashion Portfolio's due on Monday and I'm still in the development/ research stage. T.T

Was looking for inspirations on WGSN when I browsed through Valentino's Paris S/S RTW 11 collection and oh boy, I love almost every outfit in the collection.

Some of the looks that I love:











I like how chic and feminine the garments are. The use of ruffles everywhere from the front of a shirtdress to a shoulder flounce gives it a light and youthful vibe, and lace, sheer fabrics, organza only adds on to the feel.

Seeing Valentino's collection online is good, but seeing it in the flesh at GoMa was so much better. The array of designs just blew me away. Some of his pieces seem dated due to the usage of prints, but the rest was just amazing. You gotta love timeless designs that just flatters a woman's body. Think I spent about 1 to 1.5 hours in there, just reveling in its beauty.

And as I'm drawing out my collection for the assignment, I'm once again left wondering about my future. Where do I see myself in the fashion industry?
