So yesterday marked the last day of my internship with CLEO magazine. I felt a mixture of feelings; relief because I'm finally done with waking up at ungodly hours for a run before getting ready for work and I've clocked the hours needed for my internship and also sadness because I'm leaving the place for the second time and I've gotten to know the team a bit better this time around. (They are really wickedly funny people!) I'm thankful as the editorial team trusted me enough to handle tasks that ranges from the menial ones to the ones that really tested me in terms of my organisational/ coordination/ writing skills. Through this internship, I really learn something about myself; I'm not meant for a job that requires me to sit behind the desk for long hours, I like to be out and about, enjoy challenges, meet new people and try new things.
This week alone, I had to organise and coordinate fitting sessions of 7 girls for a story at 6 stores, so you can imagine just how crazy it can get if you don't get your stuff together. So I definitely learnt alot more than what I did the previously when I was there as one of the guest editors. This had been a super good experience and I can't think of a better place to have completed my internship at. It's amazing to work with a tight-knit bunch of people. Hopefully the next time when I walk back in there, I'll be working as one of them :)
Oh, did I mention that they put together a goodie bag full of awesome swag for me? OMG, I'm in beauty heaven! =D Thank God they packed me Kiehl's Blue Herbal moisturiser so I have a moistriser to tide me over till I get my IPSA one. Will review it in a couple of weeks' time :)
