Midweek meet up with friends

Met up with Yi-Long, Daryl and Ju Leen last Wednesday for dinner at Hand Burger (313@Somerset branch)after work. I walked past it the other time when I was there for a tasting session and I wanted to go and try their food. Thank goodness my friends aren't picky eaters =D We ordered our food first while waiting for Jennifer... who came with her +1. I can't remember his name offhand right now, oops. =X

The outlet wasn't very crowded, and the service staff were very attentive, they kept refilling our glasses whenever it's half-full. I like the interior design of the place as well, but not so much of a fan of the chairs.


Here's my Stuffed Portobello burger with a side of fries. You get to choose if you want fries or a chilled stuffed tomato... which Yi-Long opted for to share with Ju Leen.

After dinner, we went for desserts! I got ice-cream from Marvelous Cream, an ice-cream parlour that hails from Japan, and I was surprised to see that they had a similar concept to Cold Rock which was to mix your ice-cream with mix-ins selected on a marble slab . Hehe, it's my first time eating from this ice-cream parlour despite the fact that they've been around mid 2009. Then we went up to Cold Rock where the rest got their ice-cream and we just sat and chatted away... It's so good to see them again :) We were there till around 10ish? Was pretty surprised that the place was still open till so late. This is something I'd miss when I go back to Brisvegas..
