1st Aug:
Both Ariel and I were packing into the wee hours of the morning. I caught a couple of hours of sleep, thank god Ariel's SMS woke me up! Somehow, my alarm failed me. =( Adrian came by to pick me and Ariel up (thanks Adrian!) before we made our way to Golden Mile Complex to board our bus.
Ariel and I sitting right in the front! Looking a lil dreary in the morning, and I've found out how useful shades can be hehe!

It was quite a drive... They played Meet Dave on the bus, but I found it boring and went to sleep instead. Sometimes I would wake up, and find myself thinking through stuff... But sleep would soon find me again and I'll be in dreamland again :)

I really respect bus-drivers on the genting route. The road is so long and winding... Oh yeah, I gotta say that our bus-driver was kinda grouchy.. that's all hahaha
Soon we arrived at the First World Bus Terminal. This sense of exhilaration just came over me as I walked outta the bus! I love the cool weather, I felt really happy =D

When I was making my order, this is how the conversation went between me and the barista:
Him: May I take your order?
Me: 1 vanilla latte please.
Him: What's your name?
Me: Kelly. (thinking it's normal since they usually write names on cups)
Him: What's your number?
Me: *burst out laughing* You ah!!
So yup.. went back to the couch and slack while waiting... Then saw some other MTV staff as well! =D It felt really nice to see fellow colleagues in a place away from home... So we all just hung around Starbucks until they went off for their lunch or whatever activity whereas we went to check into our rooms. A quick note about First World Hotel: I didn't expect too much from the place since it's a 3-star hotel, and I've already prepped myself for the worst case scenario possible already. It wasn't that bad. It was better than Redang Holiday, it even have a TV and was brightly lit, so I'm not complaining at all. Hahaha
So we quickly freshened up and we went out to meet Kiran to collect our credentials and find out more about our job scope.
Don't ask me why am I wearing so little. I don't feel cold at all!
Since we had our credentials, Ariel and I decided to make a quick trip into the Arena of Stars to check out the venue on the pretext of looking for Joyce and Adeline =P I gotta say, the security's tight man!

We went in and Panic at the Disco was doing their rehearsal. We stayed for a while and decided to go out and look for Adrian as he's outside of the theme park waiting for us.
We settled our late lunch at Mary Brown. I don't like how the prices on the board don't reflect the 5% GST. *hrmpf* Won't it be easier to just include the GST so tourists like us won't be lost?
Since we are at Genting, I thought we should just go for the theme park since we had the rest of the day free. So Adrian went with me on the rides whereas Ariel... what did Ariel do ah.. I think she went to AOS to look for Adeline and Joyce cause she's not game enough for the rides *hrmpf!* Sorry, didn't take alot of pictures because I was having fun! The thing about me is... I actually love thrill rides, and I'm terrified of slow rides like Ferris Wheels.. =\
I love the Space Shot! A good way to experience how it would be like to jump off a building without actually having to die. =X Adrian didn't take this ride with me, so he took pictures for me! :)
Then we walked around a little bit, went for one of the signature rides Flying Coaster and then we went out of the theme park...

So we were back at First World Plaza, we just hung out at one of the coffee places while waiting for Ariel... When Ariel came, we walked around a bit, shopped a bit whereas Adrian went off to meet his Finance family =D Catherine joined us for shopping too, we wanted to do pedicure but it was already too late to make an appointment. =( So Ariel and I headed back to our room and just lazed around and had some girl-talk... :) We talked while watching some really crappy horror show. By the time we were ready to sleep, Charlie's Angels came on. ^%^$%#! We did masks as well =D

2nd Aug:
We slept around 12ish, and I woke up a couple of times in the night; first to grab my jacket as it was rather chilly since we left the window open and to adjust my pillow. Their pillows are too soft and flat! Soon it was 7ish, I put on my running gear and got ready to head out. I wanted to take the easier way out which is to run in their gym (it looked really new and good!) but I had to pay 15RM and I didn't bring cash out with me because since when you need to pay to use the gym in a hotel?! In the end, I just sucked it up and went outdoors to run. It was good, I relish the cold wind blowing against me, and I like how powerful my calves felt as I ran uphill. People were looking at me as if I was crazy running outdoors, but it was really quite an experience! =D I only didn't like how my throat felt really dry during my run. Went back to the room, showered and got ready to head out for our usher briefing!

After briefing, we went to the 'storeroom' to do packing. Can you believe they use a 4-star hotel room as a storeroom?! Ohmygoodnessss

As we had spare boxes of Brand's chicken essence lying around, Kiran passed us some to try. This is our first sip of chicken essence! And 1 sip is enough, it's so yucky! I wonder how people can finish the whole bottle... *shivers*
We were thinking of how to transport these goody bags to the Arena, and we managed to strike a deal with the bellboys to transport these bags down to the Arena for a reasonable price and threw in a couple of goody bags to sweeten the deal. =D
We have sooo many bags! It was really foggy and windy out there!
We walked down to the theme park while the lorry was loading the boxes and bags. We had to wait quite a while before we could begin to transport the boxes into the Arena.
It was really good to work with live music from the band (can't remember if it's OneRepublic or Panic at the disco), and I walked past the PussyCat Dolls too! =D

We went for another meeting, had a quick lunch and started cracking again. It was a mad race against time man. I shall spare you all the intricate details of the horror and mayhem I experienced when the crowd came in. *shakes head* I couldn't even watch the show in peace! x(

After everything's settled, we all headed back to our hotel rooms to freshen up and get changed for the MAA post-party.
We helped out a lil bit and we went to sit down, chill while waiting for news from Kiran. Soon she came over with the tags! And Tracy also got us some Golden Tickets to get in! Some poor fellas tried to buy those invites from Tracy but to no avail =D

I was having fun initially, until Ariel went a leeeetle outta control. I had half a mind to just leave her there since that was what she wanted us to do, but we didn't. We went back several times the whole night, wanting to drag her back but she refused. =( To me, it's okay to drink, get high and have fun. But it's not okay when you become a liability to the people around you =( I got very frustrated when we got back to the hotel, to the extent that I went out of the room for a while to get some me-time to cool down... But everything's okay by the time I got back. Didn't sleep much since we left the party at around 3 if I'm not wrong and I slept at around 5ish and woke up around 9ish-10am. I'm not going to start on the story about how this ang-moh tried to pick me up at the party, but if you wanna know, ask me in person and I'll share. hahaha!
I'm going to bed now, need 7 hours of sleep since I havent slept much since Friday! Will blog about KL trip tomorrow if possible!
