Hainan Trip [Part 5]

Now for day 5 of the trip! Finally had the time to blog since I'm at home on a workday... I'm terribly sick. This is my 3rd trip to the doctor, and I've been prescribed with stronger antibiotics, cough medication and *gasp* mild steroids (last resort). My heart was beating very fast earlier on and it was kinda hard for me to stay asleep throughout my nap.. furthermore, I felt like my whole body was burning up! =( Anyway... back to the trip...

After breakfast, we're off on the road again! We stopped by Yalang bay's (亚龙湾) beach and had a short morning walk :) The bay is touted as Hawaii of Hainan as it's blessed with warm tropical climate all year round with a constant winter temperature of above 20 degrees celsius. :) Love the clear water and the cooling breeze!

Mum & Dad

Kelda & I

The stalls that led the way to the beach... all hawking the usual stuff, pearl necklaces, accessories and the list goes on...

Sinking my toes in the sand and sea :)

Did I mention that I was happily walking barefooted on the beach when something sharp pierced into my sole? =( major ouch! I immediately put on my slippers again to prevent more avoidable injuries. it didnt really hurt until night time =( and guess what, I endured that pain all the way till we're back in SG..

Adeline and Kelda. *pssst* Kelda's head is always tilted to one side because it's heavy. I wonder what's in it... *hiakhiakhiak!*

People enjoying themselves building sculptures on those buried in the sand, can you make out whats on the guy? ;)

Marie at the beach

Kate-Rose's turn!

Sunshine boy, Jeremy hahaha!

Us jumping. This is gonna be a signature pose for all my trips from now on!

We walked around abit and I saw this shop selling shades and I was drawn to it. Pulled my sisters and my mum into the shop and all of us walked out with a pair! Damn cheap! I can't remember the price now, but it's cheaper by Singapore standards. =D

Now we're on a long journey back to Haikou... While everyone's resting, I'm around snapping pictures. =D
PEOPLE, please give me an undisclosed amount (really, it's negotiable) if you want your pictures to be taken off hahaha!

Next tourist destination of the day: Dongshan Ridge.
The plan is to take the cable lift all the way to the top and then walk down from there...

On the cable-lift with Kelila. As you know, I have a fear of heights and I can't really bring myself to smile. The wind was strong and the cable lift was swaying! =(

Mum and Keller in front, my mum is always filming the whole trip! Ask her to film the lady explaining the different uses for different types of tea and she doesn't want to do it! %$%~! That's more important than filming frivously nothing in particular!

We passed by these cool rocks. These two rocks are located at the edge of the cliffs, but strangely enough they wouldn't fall off. If people were to try to push these rocks off, it will not budge but if the wind blows, it will sway! These are the... 飞来石 if I'm not wrong :) There are many located all over the world.. there's one in Cambodia if I didn't recall wrongly...

Some scenery along the way... Some taken by my sister because... I was getting freaked out hahaha

Once we reached the top:

Good luck for all the people who steps on the stone, it was damn hard to get a picture of us all because of the MLs. *shrugs* So there you go, 2 of them in the picture. And yes, ALL of them love wearing Hawaiian clothes!

Kate was here!

Not writing much about the place because it's really just scenery and temples. Had my fortune read and it was quite amazing, telling me the exact same thing that another fortune teller said many years ago when my mum went to consult about our fortune. In short, life is good, like you need me to explain any further? hahaha!

On our way back to Haikou, here's my crazy uncle with two watermelons!

He was telling us to study hard so we can be like him... BTW, he's a senior consultant at some PR/ Advertising firm... he works only like 10 days in a month and earns 2K for that amount of time.. WOAH! Yes uncle, i'll study hard... you da inspiration! :) He also told us alot of jokes (some dirty ones as well hahaha), pretty awesome for an uncle by my standards :)

If I'm not wrong, this picture was taken outside the restaurant where we had our lunch :) This is a 梅花! :)

So yup.. we reached Haikou's WuGong Ci, built to commemorate the 5 historic figures who were banished to Hainan province in Tand and Song Dynasty...

It was cold when we got down the bus (unexpected since the past few nights at other locations weren't cold at all), thank god I had my adidas sweater! It kept me feeling warm :) *blissful smile* I think Marie's enjoying the cold!

Wear and tear...

Jeremy kor, the cam whore with the spring in the background

Ditto

I don't know about you but i love this picture :)

After that, it was dinner at the hotel that we'll be staying for the night :) We're located near shopping centres, but we didn't manage to do much shopping =( Then we went back to the hotel to meet our relatives for one last time...

People seen playing table-tennis from our room.. training for Beijing 2008?

Do you know a pizza cost like 1/5 of their salary? No wonder their eyes popped out of their sockets when we bought these pizzas to share... Once again, I'm feeling very blessed to be born in SIngapore...

Pictures with our cousin xingwei :) I've added her on msn but I haven't seen her come online yet! I've always wanted to practise typing in Chinese with her... =P

One last group photo... =)

Oh yah.. guess what we found!! so many CJ7s!! :D

All changed and ready to head home tomorrow!

Then it was party-time in one of our cousins' room =D KFC (so missed!) and Pizza Hut and tons of fruits... *yumyum!*

Kelda logging on MSN to chat! =D

Look who's asleep....

I think we made too much noise and got complained, so we had to watch our volume... So yeah... uncle was talking about his will yadayada... but I'm just grateful for this sponsored trip :)

More soon!

Unknown a dit…

Those Rocks are pretty amazing, I know they move because of the wind revolve around them and under them, making them sway. Of course a human can even move an inch out from them. In this world, there are too many wild things around, like water flowing up of mountain, etc.

LOL!!
