The last weekend in 2007 at Qianhu Fish Farm
Went there with my sister Kelda, we took a train to CCK as there was shuttle bus service provided from the interchange. Actually, there's also shuttle service from Boon Lay but I don't know where exactly will the shuttle service pick up passengers from. As the bus pulled into the berth, I see happy kids carrying tanks with fish and it got me a little psyched! Maybe you don't know the purpose of us going to a fish farm, so let me fill you in. We went there for the fish spa! =D It's alot cheaper than the one at Sentosa, it's $10 for 30 mins of fish kissing your sole treatment whereas at Sentosa is $38 bucks or so if I recall correctly.
When we got off the bus, we made a beeline for the fish spa place. We passed by this area where people pay like $5 to catch 'longkang' fishes in the ponds!

Don't be naughty and catch the suckerfish!

The place had a rustic and carefree feel to it :)

So yupyup, we made our payment for the fish spa at the counter, collected our towels and we headed to the tap to wash our feet before we made our way into the pool. And this is why it's only $10 - it's a communal pool. It's really interesting, and people kept looking at their feet to see the doctorfish at work. Some also whipped out their camera phones/ cameras and started snapping pictures :)

Not getting much loving from the fishies =(

This lady came in later than us, but look at the fishies that swarmed over to her feet!! >=( Thou shalt not be jealous, it just means that she has a hell lotta dead skin. BUT STILL!! =( Okay lah, I did get a bit of fishies on my feet, but there usually nibble at the cuticle areas around my toenails. I was really hoping that they will nibble on the bottom of my feet more... It was really fun! It was quite ticklish and we're stifling our giggles because we don't wanna frighten away the fishes. After a while, we warmed up to the sensation and it just felt like there's something vibrating on your feet =D

There's nothing much to do when you have your feet in the pool and you can't really move, so we took a picture together!
Soon the time was up, we got out reluctantly and then washed our feet again before dropping off the towels that were provided. Before we left, we were given 2008 calendars, goody! :) We walked around the shop where fishies, aquarium and equipments were sold before we went to buy some snacks to munch on while we sat around in the cafe-cum-waiting area for the bus to Boon Lay to come...

It was a nice day with my irrinoying sister :) I'll blog more tomorrow! Things are starting slow at work again.... :)
