Early Morning

It's early in the morning, the wind was cold as usual. Since I no longer have my stash of Honey Stars in my office, I decided to get a cheese & egg bagel from Subway, something to warm my insides in this cold weather. It's all gooooood. x) But the next time I'm eating that bagel, I'm gonna request for sweet onion sauce on it as well.

Feeling all bright and happy today! Going to see my baby after work today FINALLY after he's been cooped up with work recently for the ASEAN Tourism Forum. x)

I think my resolution to save money is not working out for this month.
So far I've spent:
- $72 on my Forever21 skinny jeans (technically I've spent $32 because I ussed $40 worth of vouchers).
- $91 on Clarins gentle foaming cleanser and hydra-matte day lotion (technically $41 spent because I have a $50 takashimaya voucher).
- $73 on my Nike dry-fit pants which is da bomb!! ($23 spent because I used the $50 worth of Nike vouchers given by Bern)
So roughly I've spent close to $96 for this month... *gulps* I know it's not alot, but usually I don't spend this much! Plus I gotta think of Valentine's Day... I don't think I'll be getting my pay before that.. CRAP.

Caught this thai movie called "Metrosexual" over the weekend, it was funny initially but as it got towards the end, it was almost bittersweet. Imagine the guy you're gonna marry realise that he could be gay on the day of your engagement cceremony.. gosh, what a blow it would be for any girl to handle. I wanted to catch Chai Lais Angels, another thai movie but it stopped running really early sometime last year. x( Now must look for VCD to rent to watch.

I took my FishEye2 out to play over the weekend too! Anyhow snapped shots of people, toys and stuff... =P My mum thinks that it's a waste of money taking 'blurred photos' x( *RAWR*

The weather this morning is tres bien!! The sun is out, but the wind is chilly, just the way I like it.. Reminds me of the days in Taipei... Let this weather remain for good please!

As you know, I'm quite infatuated with Simone Legno's tokidoki designs... They are so cute! Hence, I have a LeSportSac tokidoki handbag and my msn userpic is a tokidoki design as well.. Now, take a look at tokidoki iskins for iPnano!

So adorable right?!

3D2N in HK

We got back to the hotel in Taipei really late. So we slept in and had a late breakfast.
Soon after, we hafta get into the vehicle to take us to the airport where we'll be heading for HK.

*I only fly first-class.... not!*
Touched down at HK International Airport, collected our luggages and headed to the tourist's pick-up area and waited to be picked up...

Hahaha, it's so cool!! We actually took an airport transfer shuttle service to our hotel.

The chairs were so comfy, like massage chairs! We crossed the Tsing Ma Bridge to get to the other side... haha and we took a long nap. Checked into Royal Pacific Hotel and once again we got some problems with our hotel room.

Here we are!

We went shopping at Harbour City which is within walking distance from our hotel. It's sales everywhere!! *beams* I got tops from Zara whereas Bern got his pants from FCUK at really cheap prices!

The scene at night with all that neon lights. (while walking to Harbour City)

We had dinner and headed to check out the Symphony of Lights laser show at some private club's corridor. It's a nightly harbour-side spectacle set against Hong Kong's stunning skyline. It involves 33 buildings decked out in dancing neon lights, searchlights and laser beams, all coordinated to music and narration. It takes place every night at 8pm and it's a permanent feature.

The skyline of HK... really pretty :)

After that, we went to Fa Yuen Street, otherwise known as Sportswear Street.

It's a shopping street filled with shops selling sports gear, and there are quality products of all kinds and all brands at affordable prices. =D I got two nike tops for about $30 SGD! I also managed to get a jacket for Kelda =D

Next, it's ladies' market! Shopshopshopshopshopped again =D
Then it was back to the hotel for some zZzZzZ....

Next morning, it's an action-packed day for us!

POAD sighted in Hong Kong! =D

First stop of the day: Avenue of Stars
We took a stroll down to check out Hong Kong's movie legends. There are also stars' handprints and statues. The bronze statue of Bruce Lee is their latest addition to the place.

I'm going to tell the director a secret about you...

Me with handprints of Jackie Chan! We even took a picture with him... Too lazy to scan in, will do so when I have much more time.

Next, dimsum time!

We went to their traditional local dimsum restaurant. Love the spread of food available... buns, pastries, dumplings.. yadayada...

Heeheee, fried buns, fried carrot cake, xiaolongbaos, charsiew baos and also chee cheong fun (which is not in the picture)! I love the chee cheong fun!

Dig in!

We took a bus down to the Star Ferry, it's a double-decker bus!

Here we come!

Lovely background... =)

This is a must-try ride for all tourists... =D

We are waiting for our bus to take us to the Peak so we can take the Peak tram!

We bought a package, two-way tram ride and a visit to Madame Tussauds' wax museum!

We are on the tram x) The Peak Tram is pulled by steel cables, and the tram climbs 373 metres. It's so steep that the buildings you pass by look like they are leaning at 45 angle degrees! =D

We are at the top now!

View from the top

Spectacular surrounding city skyline and us.

Off we go to Madame Tussauds'!

I got a shock when I stepped inside. Camera flashes start going off! So this is how the celebs feel whenever they are on the red carpet, or even when they are just out on their daily routines.

Michael Jackson and us!

My boy loves boobs. hahaha

Step aside George Bush! Let me talk!

Bern's highlight: Twins!

It was really fun.. there were loads more pictures, but it will kill me if I blog somemore about it. So let's move on!

While waiting for the bus: I think 2nd Jan is a good day to get married, look! Two wedding cars in sight. Earlier on, we saw wedding couples taking pictures as well.

We took the tram back down and took the open top bus! A great way to check out the architecture while relaxing and enjoying the breeze.

This is the tram, the only double-decker tram fleet operating in the world.

Check it out! Known to us as Guardian, it's Mannings in HK

Bought tickets for Disneyland, took MTR all the way down to Sunny Bay to change to Disney Express! =D

*WEEE!!*

The handles are all in the shape of Mickey! =D

The seats were really comfortable, and there were figurines of Disney characters in the train too!

Goofy, Pluto and Us!

Yesyes, I hear your command!

Back at TomorrowLand!
We took a Fast Pass for Space Mountain and the waiting time was cut short for us. x)
It's really fun and thrilling! I kept screaming and screaming till I teared. hahaha

After the ride

Bern with Buzz Lightyear!

We also caught Disney's fireworks display! x)

Disneyland is really pretty at night.

Check out our teeth!

Time to say goodbye~

Took a train to Mongkok to visit Citygate Mall. =D Factory outlets of shops like Esprit, Nike, Levis, Adidas, Calvin Klein, etc can be found here =D

Grabbed dinner at Macs and headed back home afterwards :) They have shaker fries! =D

Next morning, our last day in HK, we went to The Sweet Dynasty for brunch!

yummy yummy food =D

Then it was last minute shopping at Harbour City before we were whisked away to the airport. We checked-in and went for last minute shopping at Citygate Mall =P. We took a cab to and fro.

We are going in now, goodbye HK and home sweet home SG!
