Encounter with the birds

Met Siti and Mag at Boon Lay MRT Station on Saturday to head down to one of Singapore's tourist attractions, the Jurong Bird Park! It's been eons since I last visited that place... I'm sure I'm not the only one, haha.. And thanks to Bern, we get to go in FOC! :D

First stop: March of the Penguins

Doesn't this scene reminds you of the poor penguin stuck in the enclosure in Happy Feet? Hahaha

We also visited the World of Darkness where there were several different species of owls... Ever hear of the Eurasian Owls? I wonder who's their mummy and daddy, hmmmm....

It started pouring soon after, so we decided to go and chomp on some Bongo goodies!

I had a Jumbo Hotdog meal *licks lips* Sorry, no pic of my hotdog, photobucket's being a bitch.

We chatted over our lunch... x) Non-stop conversation topics, just like verbal diahorrea. Soon, the rain lightened up , so the girls went out to play!

Siti's catch! She's really good... I got one, whereas she caught three! I think kids in the past are skinnier/fitter.. Imagine all the activities they are doing now... and the kind of activities kids these days are doing now... (think sitting in front of the computer from day to night, playing games like audition, maple, counterstrike, yadayada, etc) And yah.. we were perspiring while fishing. Yes, we returned the fishes back to the pond.. x)

This is the place where we can get upclose and personal with the lories... So pretty can!!

For a minimal donation of $2, you get some mixture (which looks susiciously like crushed dried bread in water) to feed the lories!

Pretty pretty kite... I think.

The shows were really interesting. :) Do you know that owls can see in daylight? They hunt at night because the rodents come out to party at night.. =) And as usual, the 'freelancers'/wild kites came to put up a performance as well. =D

And yah.. at the Birds N' Buddies show, we were cheering our cockatoo loudly in a game of basketball versus the macaw.. then these two kids turned back to look at us... Hey, have fun lah, CHEER!! =D
