Graduating class of 2006

I managed to take half-day leave to attend my graduation ceremony in the morning. It was.... goood. Speech by the guest of honour was good. It's a pity that Jenn and Ju Leen weren't able to make it. =( Would love to graduate and take a nice picture together. Talked and took pictures with people whom I've worked with, yadayada... The worst thing of all was prolly having a faulty video presentation that showcased us, the graduating class of 2006... in year 1, 2 and 3.. hahaha :) And I'm feeling extremely happy and proud of Shuling.. :) *haha all of MCM stood up to give Shuling a standing ovation!* haha and the best of it all, having two important people in my life watch me walk up the stage and receive my scroll from the director - bern and my mummy. and what really touched me was that my mum rushed down from her shift work (she works night shifts in SGH) to be early for my graduation... and she gave me a mini bouquet of flowers, a wide smile and a hug. :) and that really touched me.

Kim & I: Yr 2 classmates/groupmates, she drew the Hanasplast ducky and she's also my ITP chat buddy online hehe

Christine and I: my year 2 classmate/groupmate for Hanasplast. We both stayed up late to do the flash ad :) *hug*

Francis, my next door SP group neighbour hehe

Eunice and I: My RadioJourn partner for airtime worthy bulletin on RSI! *beams* check it out here at http://www.rsi.sg/english/youngexpressions/view/20060422151147/1/.html

the stage. i think the school really spent loads of moolah on it. *must be from the school fees we paid, hahaha*

My Yr 1 classmates :) Daryl, me, Yi-long

MCM girls! Met Liling in French enrichment class in year 1, worked with Kelly for PITCH, met Anita and Elyn in Adcre class and also through school's various leadership programs/activities

My mummy & I :D

My baby & I *hug*

MCM's outstanding student who swept almost every award possible, Shuling! So proud of you lahh :) She's petite but she has a big smile and a big heart... I still keep the collage of 1T01 you made for us! *hughug*

Haha, and somehow I feel like MCM's graduation ceremony is some form of a fashion parade. While other people from other schools might don the basic (yawn, boring) staples of a shirt (usually white) with pants/skirts and a blazer, MCMers or rather FMS peeps make the effort to look good. Think nice white cropped blazer with a nice white dress, white Victorian blouse with skirt, some wore white with black with style... you know, that kinda thing. :) hahaha

Well... as for me, I've learnt many lessons during my course of study here. But the most important lesson I've learnt is to be flexible and adaptable, so when Life throws you a curveball, you can handle it well. For example, if you are doing a flim production and you initially wanted to shoot it in a dark alley. But you can't find any dark alley that suits the imagery in your mind, so you think of the next best alternative. I think this important lesson is one that not everyone will get to learn as well... haha, engineering students deal with maths problems... bio students deals with chemistry and maths and prolly bio and physics as well... but nothing can really compare to what MCM has taught me :) To be able to handle stress and lack of sleep, to be adaptable, to be professional, to handle whatever the future has in store for me. I'm proud to say that the Kelly you're seeing today is the result of everything I've been through. I love who I am, I like the person I've turned out to be and I'm not done evolving yet. :)

And another thing I've learnt is to be nice to everyone when you're on your way up, because you have no idea who you'll meet on your way down. Being nice to everyone helps you get things done faster, hehe. I think this is a piece of advice everyone can use for themselves. ;)

Life is an amusement park; choose the kind of rides you wanna take, and enjoy every moment of it while you're on it. :)
