K is for Kelly

Sometimes, it's good to spend some time with your loved ones instead of getting all caught up in work and everything else. :) stayed over at my uncle's new place at sembawang with family & bern. it was like having a family chalet together! it was pretty fun, we had dinner on the same table, watched the political broadcast together (even though it was a walkover at our side), chatted a little and played board games like Cluedo and Mad Magazine with bern and my sisters... it was fun! bouts of laughter echoed the house and.. that really made me feel contented and happy :)

and i proclaim to be Cluedo Queen! cuz i keep on winning.. hahaha x) and when i got bored, i went on a midnight cycle around the estate and came back to see kelda on the kiddy bicycle.. damn funny sight hahah.. we also took a loooooooong walk to the nearest 7-11 to realise that they didn't have mini magnum ice-cream.. so we walked further now.. and we're in luck! x) ate the ice-cream while walking back and shared the rest with the family. we burnt out sparklers and left the estate smoking.. =P

initially was planning to sleep on the rooftop that was perfect for star-gazing, but in the end, we wind up sleeping in the vacant study room.. =) haha, slept in sleeping bags.. sleeping without elevation for my head can kill! in the end, in the middle of the night, i kept tossing and turning on the very hard floor and i felt like blue-blacks were growing on my body haha.. and it didn't help that the whole house is so echoy and i could hear my dad and my uncles playing daidee and them throwing coins on the glass table. it was that loud. and i kept on wriggling and in the morning when light shone in, i realised that both bern and i moved so much and we were so far away from where we slept initially hahaha

when we woke up in the morning, i tousled bern's hair and made a comment that his hair was so messy... and i got a shock when i looked at myself in the mirror... my hair was like a lion's mane!! so poofy... too much volume.. then bern was laughing at me lahhh, and he went to take my camera and snap this picture:

and this is the day that i find caps so useful for a bad hair day.. hahaha :) we walked out of the estate and had breakfast at the nearby coffeeshop that wasn't so nearby afterall... and there are alot of squirrels on the trees! jumping from branch to branch.. so cute! oh, the food wasn't too bad.. was feeling very very full after eating.. =)

after we got back, had another round of cluedo, watched tv and headed home to rest.. the rest of my family will be returning on monday itself.. so it's only me, my dad and kelda at home for now.

it's heartening to see that your boyfriend is so respectful towards your parents/family members, so endearing to your sisters, and treats them even nicer than you treat them yourself. he's so willing to go look for my granny when we realised that she's still at the coffeeshop catching up with her friend, so ready to teach my sister how to ride a bicycle, yadayada. :) it's very nice to know that people care about him enough to ask about him when he didn't turn up at my uncle's place together with me like we usually do (even the domestic helper asked about him!!).. :) i'm feeling contented, blessed and very very happy. =) this guy i'm with now, is a keeper and i'll never let you go. love ya loads baby
