DAY 1:
Met Bern at my place to pick me up and we're well on our way to the airport! Checked-in and hung around the duty-free shops for a while before we headed upstairs to the food court for breakfast. The food court's pretty empty, and there were many stalls and they were all manned by 3-4 workers there.. hehehe

me with my double chocolate chip muffin - yumm!

Sharing the calories with Cheer Bear! =D

My baby setting up the cam so we can take a family portrait :)

Bern & I with Cheer Bear. *Good Luck Bear's smuggled in Bern's luggage*

Now a picture of the both of us
After breakfast, we went to our gate and waited for our turn to board the plane while watching American Idol. We're flying by Jet* Asia and we're on a Valuair carrier hahah. Our first time taking a budget airline :) The plane was playing happy, cheery, upbeat songs throughout the entire journey, as if it was trying to make up for the lack of in-flight entertainment facilities. It was fine initially, but the songs kept repeating after a while for about 3-4 times! Time to invest in a couple more CDs for the plane ;) And you know the video demonstration of the safety guidelines that's screened whenever you fly on an airplane? They are doing it 'LIVE' for the passengers. The plane was quite empty. People can actually switch seats, move around... just like when you're taking a bus! hahaha

We're on our way outta SG!!

Cheer's first time flying overseas! Chip & Star flew to Manila and BKK (respectively) already x)
Something interesting on the plane:

This is the safety handout available for all passengers.

haha, so cute lah! "Don't be naughty, read it and leave it behind!"
Touched down in BKK, went to get our passports stamped and then headed to collect our luggages and met up with our local tour guide Sirin. Waited for the other couple for quite some time before we finally left the airport. We thought we're gonna travel to our hotel on a coach/bus or something, but it turned out that....
WE ARE GOING TO BE CHAUFFEURED!
woohoo! So cool lah, only the two of us :D Now there's a reason why our package wasn't as cheap as expected.

A very shaky picture cuz the ride was pretty bumpy
It took quite a while before we reached our hotel - Pathumwan Princess. It's a 5 star hotel, really pretty and contemporary inside.. love that place!! It's connected directly from the hotel to MBK. Ooooh!! Heaven :D It has 29 floors and we got a room on the 28th floor! =D the staff there were all very polite and friendly as well. As we could only check-in at 3 or so, we deposited our belongings with them so we could go visit the Erawan Shrine in the meantime.
We bought our traveller's card and travelled on the BTS! =D the ticketing system's like how Singapore used to do it before we started the EZlink system.. how nostalgic! The station's really colourful with all the outdoor advertisements stuck to every surface possible, hahahaha, gives a very vibrant feel to the station. Maybe POAD can do something about Singapore's MRT stations in time to come hahah =D

Ad at the station

Standing tall.. But those guys are even taller. >x(

We stopped the train for a quick picture hahaha, yah right!
We hopped on the BTS when it came, and guess who we met! One of BU's cheerleaders (oops! forgot his name already)! ahha, what a small world... =)
We walked to the Erawan Shrine.. Upon reaching there, we just observed what the others do, then we went out to buy some offerings and went in to pray. It was crowded and the heat was sweltering. The smoke from the incense made me tear really badly, and I was glad when we finished. hahah
After that, we popped into Central Chidlom to cool off and headed for lunch at Greyhound. :)

Scrumptious spread of food that we call lunch!
Walked around the departmental store and found the roxy bikini that Bern wanted to get me initially back in SG, tried the other version of it. Loved it and he bought it for me =D *thankyew baby!*
After that, we went to book tickets for our movie for the night: X-Men 3 at 10ish. =D headed back to the hotel after that to get a bit of rest due having a slight headache from the heat et al. Then went walking around MBK before heading over to Siam Discovery Centre to catch our movie! The movie theatre's kinda big, and there weren't much people watching it. Watched their trailers... so cute lah! hahaha =D more interesting than the ones we see in SG. And then we hafta stand up and pay respects to the King. haha, so interesting... But there were a couple of stupid ang-mohs who just sat through the video screening of the King.. &^%$#! so rude! *tsktsk* The movie was pretty alright I guess... But as memorable as the previous X-men 2 one though :) After that, headed back to the hotel to get some rest for our day ahead at Dreamworld!
DAY 2:
Went down to the Citi Bistro to have our international breakfast buffet! the food's good and I took my first sip of guava juice, haha, nicenice :D Waited for some time for the coach to come to pick us up from our hotel to Dreamworld x) It was a rather long and bumpy ride there... But we finally got there!

Us at the Entrance.
Oh, and we went crazy taking pictures.

Bern: "Your newspapers look more interesting than mine"

Kells: "I should really go invest in a pair of glasses instead of squinting my eyes to read papers"

Bern: "SHAME SHAME! Never wear underwear!"

Flamingo wannabe

Us.

Us in the love carriage.

I love you... You know?

Be my Valentine always ok?
Then we decided to take a cable car ride right to the end of Dreamworld and then we'll walk all the way down back to the entrance.

Err, okay I'm scared.
After we got off the cable car, we visited the Haunted Mansion. Okay, we didn't go in. I was too chicken, haha. Bern was practically dragging me in there. And at the entrance, just as we were about to go in, there were hissing sounds and I freaked out and screamed!! The staff tending the mansion was so tickled. hahaha. So we just made do with taking pictures with the figurines outside, in the safety of the broad daylight.

Don't bite me!!

Waited almost forever for them to throw their cards.

Bern: "Aww, did you wait for me for long?"

Then it's bumper-car time!

Then we went on a bump boat ride =D without the irritating water spray function that's available at SG Escape.

My baby!

Me on the antique car ride

Go-Karting: So much more fun than the one in SG!

Us inside the Indian Teepee
We tried playing games at their stalls.. hahaha =D this is the one where you need to shoot at the stars in order to win prizes, and you can tell, I'm not very good at it.

Out of 10 shots, I only hit one.

My baby's better at that. =)
Then we headed for lunch at the pavilion where we had buffet lunch.

Nobody likes me... Everybody hates me... I'm gonna eat some worms...
We took some rides as well... thrilling & fun! hahaha x) Really enjoyed myself tremendously. Went to Uncle Tom's farm where stinky goats, sheep, chickens and cows were resting. When we bought food to feed them, everyone started to do so as well.. haha! The animals were soooo greedy that they scared me.

The hungry goats & I

Check out the tongue man
Back to insane photo-taking!

Me in a golden pumpkin carriage

My knight in bermudas x)

Then we went into this Sports store at Dreamworld that sells alot of things ah... I bought one Nike shirt and one Nike jersey =D

My piggy baby. :) *muacks*

Hehe, these looks 3D eh? But they are actually stickers.. ;)
Made our way to the ticket office to cool off while waiting for the rest to be back so we can head off back into the city. :) Long ride again, so tried to sleep, despite it was all hot inside the coach =(
Went back to hotel to take a shower before hitting the night markets!

Feeling happy and refreshed after my shower x)
So we took a taxi to Ramkhamhaeng with the help of the hotel staff at the taxi stand.. It's the stretch of long road with stalls set up.. the one we've been to last year =D Shop Shop Shop Shop Shop!! Bought alot of things as well.. When we got tired, we went inside the mall to rest and play Photo Hunt on one of the game booths inside =D damn addictive!

Me getting comfy and ready for the game.
After that, we went to the alley where we ate our fishball noodles last year. But the stall was closed so we ate from another stall instead. So cute lah, we bought Pepsi and we were given mugs and the thailand short straws... =D very cute
Then walked abit more before we headed for Silom. Reminded me of the time Bern & I sneaked outta hotel last year to Silom when we're supposed to stay in the hotel to rest. =P hahaha... walked the stretch of stalls.. Bern bought his pen, which was initially at an exorhibitant price, but we slashed it down. hahah =) Bought alot of stuff again, then we headed back to the hotel already.

Bern & I in our Nike tees =D

=D My shopping purchases for the day
DAY 3:
Slept in a little later than usual. Had our breakfast and then headed to the pool on level 8 for tanning. We signed in and collected our towels. The 10am sun is really hot, hot, HOT!

Soaking in the jacuzzi x)

Check out point number 7.

Suntanning in my new bikini!
Went after about an hour and went back to our hotel to shower before heading out for Chatuchak! =D Went there via BTS... The train was so packed! hehe, looks like everyone's heading there...
Chatuchak's really big, with many sections and all.. about 24-26 Sois.. This time, we went to check out the animals first. hehehe, the puppies were so adorable! Didn't take much pictures because sometimes the shopkeepers didn't allow us to. There are squirrels too!! SO CUTE LAHHH!!! They are left on top of the cages, and there's a string tied to their necks. They will lie flat, like really flat and grab the bars to prevent people from picking them up. haha, so adorable. x) And there are bunnies too!

So fluffy and adorable x)
Walked around a bit... bought some stuff and settled for our meal. headed back to hotel to take a short rest because my cramps were acting up =( so we headed for Siam Square when we woke up. Then shop, shop, shop till Siam Paragon where MTV Asia 2006 was held. haha, Bern says that the place looks suspiciously like Singapore's Paragon. haha, there are showrooms for Ferraris and all.. so it's like WOAH. =D Bought my teardrop shaped alarm clock! Need it to wake me up in the morning for work, can't always rely on the handphone yeah? We then rested our legs at a cafe..

Let's have this fixed in our shophouse in future k?
Then we went to Suan Lum Night Bazaar where we met our very funny taxi-driver. Hahahaha =P He talked about bringing the thai girls back for sex is priced at 500 baht and more funny stuff like that. Finally reached the place! Shop shop shopped again.. tried to locate the stores we visited the last time.. Bern found his slippers shop but I couldn't find the store that sold the 'Sex Symbol' tee. =( Wanted to get the supermodel one this time around.. So we continued walking around and we popped into this store that sells funny teeshirts. Then Bern and I bought couple tees, "Adam" & "Eve". damn cute lah! x)
Then as all the shops [including the store where we wanted to eat seafood at] are closed, we went on the Ferris Wheel Ride

The Ferris Wheel! I think it's a new attraction because the only bright, shiny, sparkling sign I saw last year was the Suan Lum Night Bazaar's. x)

Both of us on top of the world
After the ride which went for a couple of rounds, we took a tuktuk and based on his recommendation to this really expensive restaurant for our very late dinner, err, i think considered supper already lah. Had crabs, fish and tiger prawns! Damn full till my stomach felt like it was going to explode. hahaha the bill came up to a three figure digit in SGD, so yeah. I bet the tuktuk driver's in cahoots with that restaurants.

Us with our table filled with food!

Our hotel lounge... so empty.. cuz it's like 2+am already?!

I don't know why I'm fascinated with these heliconias.. so prettyy right?

A very kind receptionist helped us take a picture together. Look at the floor, it will change colours! Damn cool okkk

Our daily ritual of taking photos of what we've bought. hahaha
DAY 4:
Today's a little different from usual. After breakfast, we went to the hotel's Tantara Health Spa for our spa package. My first spa experience! =D Hahaha, had to choose which aromatherapy oil that was to be used in the treatment later on. I was ushered to this room, where I was the only one there. Took a shower and headed for the steam room after that.. Then I was received by my therapist and then the session began.
First was the body salt scrub, felt kinda scratchy hahaha =P Then had to take a shower to wash it off before doing the mud body wrap. It felt... scary. Haha, black goooey stuff smacked all over my body and I was being wrapped up... Feels like being mummified alive! haha.. Wanted to crack my knuckle but i couldn't.. so yeah. =P
After that, went to shower again before I had my massage. They used this really hot bag and press it all over my body. My therapist was nice enough to ask if it was too hot for my liking or not. Bern's therapist just went ahead without asking him. hahaha! =D after that, went to shower again and went for lunch by the pool before we headed out to Chatuchak again!

Feeling re-energised for the shopping ahead!
Shop, shop, shopped! =D hahaha, then went to Twanna to shop again... Had dinner and then went to RCA Plaza for indoor go-karting fun!
The place's really cool I tell you. =D I really enjoyed myself. It's damn fun lah!!

BEWARE! I don't have a license, muahahaha!
We went for as many rounds as we could in the timespan of 10 minutes. It was really tiring to try controlling the go-kart, avoid crashing into other people and turning at the pretty sharp corners. Bern fared pretty well and I was the slowest! hahaha, managed to complete only, was it 10 rounds? haha I think Bern covered 4-5 rounds more. =)

Us after the race.

Outside the venue
We played Photo Hunt again =D hahaha, that game is addictive! Then we headed back to the hotel.. Bern put water for my bath =) Oh, actually he's been doing it for me almost everynight :) and I have bath buddies like astro boy [which i blow bubbles with] and my tigger bath mitt. =D Then had room service before we turned in to rest.

The thai elephant (Kua Kluay or something) cartoon that Bern wanted to catch but no time lah.

Who are you calling?!

Proud & satisfied shopper with her catch!
Day 5:
Went for breakfast as usual. With food this good, who in the right mind would skip breakfast?

Me & my cup of strawberry yogurt!
Headed down to Pratunam for some beads shopping! Found them after much difficulty x) Bought belts again. hehehe, this trip I really bought alot of belts, 6 to be exact. =D my current infatuation with skinny belts. Then went back to hotel to do last minute packing, showered and then left our luggage at the concierge while we went shopping at MBK! Managed to find Kelda's abercrombie jacket to keep herself warm and finally bought my chloe bag. *beams* im a happy shopper! went to pack my luggage again to squeeze in my buys. =) After that, waited for our chauffeur to pick us up and send us to the airport.

Me at the airport, reluctant to leave BKK.
Ate at Burger King, and the kind lady at the cashier paid 13 baht for us haha cuz we're trying to finish up our baht. =) so nice lahh. =)
So this is the end of my trip. It's been fun.. Really miss snuggling beside my baby, watching him sleep, holding hands with him while we walked around.. =) Let's do this more often okay?
