KL Trip - Day 2/4

*First of all, happy new year everyone! haha, I'm taking this CNY festive period to blog, I must really blog about the entire trip soon because my memory is starting to fail me at an appalling rate!*

I was the earliest to wake up -.- It was the same (well, almost) case for the subsequent mornings. -.- I took my own sweet time to freshen up and get ready, but Jenn was still in deep slumber. I tried my best to wake her up, but she was as good as dead. So... I went to disturb Ju Leen, hopefully we can combine powers to wake Jenn up hahaha! Ju Leen was already awake, but she was lazing on her bed. But yeah, after all of us had gotten ready, we went down to see that our squirrel had company! The trap that was set outside had a squirrel in it too hehe..

Of course, we set them free.. We just wanted to have a close up look at them :)

Ju Leen's granny setting free the squirrels

Haha, spot the squirel!

Ju Leen's granny and grandpa drove us out for errrm... brunch?

Ta-dah! We are here.... =D It was quite emptywhen we got there

Teacups! I usually don't drink tea, but I'll make an exception for bat ku teh...

you tiao!!! I ♥ you tiao!! =D

Here's our pot of bat ku teh, it tastes different from the one in Singapore. It has a slight herbal taste whereas the one that I tried in Singapore was peppery... Nice! I loveee soaking you tiao in soup! =D

I think this is dried cut chilli with pork/chicken.. I think it's pork lah.

Jenn and I!

Yup... We started our day pretty late hahaha!

Goodbye!

I can't remember if we went back to the house first or did grandpa drive us down to Berjaya Times Square... But anyway, time to start shopping!
I bought a dress, a sunhat and a pair of shoes at Nichii =D We continued trawling the mall.... It's pretty tiring I tell you, imagine 4 hours of non-stop walking without stopping for a break.. Walking around with achilles tendonitis is no fun, so I'm always trailing behind...

Spot my friends! Hahaha, I'm taking a short rest sitting at the benches outside =P

As we continued walking... We passed by this shop where the lady boss was shouting "RM5 for 15 minutes!" And she seemed pretty nice... and RM5 for 15 minutes, you can't beat that! So Ju Leen and I went for it =D Jennifer sat out because she had a wound on her feet that was healing and i think she chickened out =P

Hellooo fishies!

Ju Leen's so irritating!! She kept asking me to lower my feet to the fish below before she put hers in, we kept pushing each other's feet in hahaha =D

We were there... letting the fish nibble at our dead skin.. the ticklish sensation slowly faded away and it helped to just imagine there's just alot of... scrapping going on at the same time all over your feet hahha! less terrifying that way too. I think we overshot but the lady didn't seem to mind? But we just got out anyway because we don't wanna pay extra! =D So 5RM for a pair of softened feet, too bad we ruined it by walking too much after the session hahaha

Before we went to Sungei Wang, we stopped by Auntie Anne for our pretzel break! =D Time check: 4ish, 5pm

Ju Leen and Jenn

Jenn & I

Sungei Wang was nearby and we passed by this street stall selling something I haven't seen before...

Ju Leen and Jenn was telling me that it's lekor, it's a kind of fish crackers.

Frying in Progress...

Jenn bought a bag to share and I tried one piece.... delicious! =)

We were shopping for a looong time... I tell you, girls would go crazy at the 25RM dresses! Hahaha, I think Ju Leen went home with 3 dresses that night... I think we seriously lost track of time.... We saw the shops closing and we thought they were closing a little too early for our preference (we all thought it was around 8pm or so), and Ju Leen's mummy was calling to check if we were ready to have dinner. Oh, Jenn bought cup corn and I tried a mouthful and I was addicted (maybe I was just hungry...)! Then we finally left the place and waited to be picked up. We went to Petaling Street first because Ju Leen was saying that there's something nice to eat there, I think claypot rice or something.. (correct me if I'm wrong!) But the store was closed (prolly due to the rain). Then we realised that it was already 10ish.. Hahaha, so the shops weren't closing as early as we thought... Hahaha! We were the ones whose clocks were slightly off that day...

So yes... We were there to look out for imitation goods... Hahaha! I think we all bought something and went home very happy campers :) KL really helped to haggle... he's really good at that haha!

After that, dinner time! We had a really late dinner you can actually consider it supper. We reached at nearly 12am man...

Taking picture while waiting for food to be served.

This is really yummy!

This is soo good... so sooo good!

Us enjoying our food =D

Ju Leen's mummmy was saying that the waiter was providing extremely good service to us as compared to usual... He brought us a box of tissue paper, wet tissues and even changed our plates! Mind you, this is just a... roadside business, not a restuarant! I reckoned it's because of our presence... Hahaha!

Food, glorious food!

Crab bee hoon! Damn shiok I tell you... =D After that, it's time to go home.. We approached the car and it looked like we are having a car boot sale! The back was spilling with our purchases for the day =P We went back and had a... post-mortem haha! =P Stayed up for a while after taking our showers... chatted a bit before we called it a night... =) Stay tuned for Day 3!

KL Trip - Day 1/4

Day 1

I was a bundle of nerves the night before. I'm soo bad at last minute packing, please remind me never to do that again. In the process, I forgot to bring my iPod and my lomocams! x(

Josh came by to pick me up and send me to the airport. I texted him the night before, telling him to give me a call just in case I couldn't wake up. Anyway, I didn't have troubles waking up because just about half an hour before the supposed time to wake up, my right eye felt really painful and I woke up to a red, watery eye. I thought I was going to go blind! =( Turns out that an eyelash got trapped and it left a dent on my eye, so scary! =\ Maybe I should go perm my eyelashes haha!

On the journey to the airport, I received a worrying SMS from Ju Leen telling me that Jenn is not picking up her call. So I started to bomb Jenn with loadsa calls and dropped her an SMS as well. After a long while, she picked up my call. *phew* When I met her, she said she was trying to scare us. -.- Not funny babe, I have nightmares about missing flights and all that...

Anyways, Jenn was starving. We had really early breakfast at Imperial Treasure before we checked in. It's such a indescribable feeling travelling with friends! :) Jenn got her MAC stuff whereas Ju Leen bought some SK-II product for her mum on behalf of her sister.

Jenn and JL. I think Jenn was damn happy to know that she got the window seat because JL was the person who booked the tickets and she told her that she won't be getting it since she's not the one booking. hahaha!

Passport + Flight ticket with alot of ticket stubs from previous trips

Our tickets, hahaha!

Ju Leen and I *gosh, I look like hell*

The two girls initially wanted to sleep on the plane, but I guess they didn't in the end haha! We touched down pretty soon and here we are at KLIA. This is the first time for all 3 of us =D

I admit that I felt kinda lost...

Jenn and JL on the skytrain!

Jenn & I

We proceeded to the conveyor belt to pick up our luggage, and boy it was a long wait... We left the gate and then we met JL's mum and her business partner KL and went to the car :) They have received strict orders from JL's grandpa to bring us to the coffeeshop where he was waiting haha!

Sights on the way...

We reached the coffeeshop and met her grandpa. He's a man of few words. We had our.... early lunch I guess? (It's only 9ish in the morning!) Yummy chicken horfun/noodles, very satisfying.. After that, we went to JL's grandparents' place to settle down. After putting down our stuff, we went down and waited. Ooh! There was a squirrel that came into the house and her granny set up a trap to catch it teehee! :) When JL's mummy and KL were ready, we hopped into the car and off to MidValley we went!

We walked quite a bit and we spotted Baskin Robbins! There we go, we start eating everything in sight hahaha! I had a scoop of Quarterback Crunch :)

Next we walked by a shop selling cinnamon buns. How can we not try one? We got a cinamon chocolate flavoured piece.

Verdict: Good! :)

We checked out several shops before we walked into Mango.

I like this combi! x) I don't usually wear skirts but I'll make an exception for this piece.

We also went into a petshop there, they sell exotic animals! =D Sorry, photography wasn't allowed so no pictures. There were tarantulas, scorpions, hedgehogs, these... lizards/reptiles thingy, etc. Interesting...

We had a pretzel break at Aunt Anne's. :) We found JL's grandparents and we went to the Gardens for a while before we left the place for dinner.

Dinner time!

You can tell that Jenn's really tuckered out.

Ta-dah! We are here! =D

Taking pictures while waiting for the food to arrive

Tahu Bakar (if I'm not wrong)

May I introduce to you, the artery-clogging but very tasty (eat first, die later!) fried pork lard. These cubes can send you to Heaven in a mouthful!

This is absolutely delish! Horfun in Singapore cannot fight this!! Taste damn good with the fried pork lard.. =D~ *salivating*

This is the famed fried noodles that some Singaporeans cleaned 2 plates and ordered another plate to take away! In my opinion, it's okay... I prefer the soupy horfun!

After dinner, it was still early. Grandpa drove us to the new 'Chinatown' to check out the lightings and decorations :) He's really proud of his city and I applaud for his attitude! =)

We went into another lane and checked out the shops... Here we are, at the set of Mama Mia! :)

This place is really interesting, and no one seems to be manning these shops!

Korean drama fans, does this look familiar? Fullhouse!

It's such a lovely looking cafe, would love to have a meal there sometime in future if I do go to KL again :)

Ornaments that you can put in your garden... so cute!

After that, we gotta do some shopping for CNY. We went to this fruit stall not too far away..

JL and her grandma.

After trying and buying fruits, we went on a 'tour to Paradise' hahaha! I told ya that Grandpa was damn enthusiastic right? He brought us to Sunway Pyramid and told us to standby our cameras.

After that, it was home sweet home, finally.... Oh yes, we've got a squirrel!! =D

Jenn crashed almost immediately (poor thing lah, she didn't sleep for 2 nights in a row), whereas JL and I had our pillow talk haha, the rest is to be continued... ;)
