I just had pancakes and soy milk for breakfast, and I'm one satisfied girl :)
Life has been busy, but I must take time to count my blessings so here's my Joy Journal for the week:
- I passed my BTT! =D
- I'm thankful that Kok notified me the moment there was an earlier date available for FTT (coming thursday) because if not I gotta wait till October to take my test. =D You're such an awesome friend! *I think you're reading my blog hahaha!* BTW, I was rummaging through my box of letters and I found a note/statement you wrote and it cracked me up. I'm gonna post it up and we can both LAUGH at it hahaha!
- I'm thankful for the awesome supper at Fong Seng with the MTV gang on Tuesday. So fun! =D Adrian picked me up after my pilates class, then we went over to Bugis to wait for Ade to finish her workout, and then finally we went to pick Ariel up before making our way down to the nasi lemak place near NUS. We are making plans for a chalet sometime soon like from Thursday - Sunday kind, and Adrian can chauffeur us to and fro work, hahaha! Feels like the 1T01 chalet the last time we had... feels like.. family :)
- I'm heartened that people can see improvement in my work. :) Tracy told me during my performance review that my attitude and the quality of my work has improved. I'm alot happier now as compared to the past because you know, women are like spaghetti. It's like a Venn Diagram, everything in her life touches or overlaps everything else, so go figure.
- Met Joshua for Subway on Wednesday and after that we went jalan-jalan after we popped by FEP to pick up the pair of jeans which he sent for alteration. I found my Organic Surge toner! okay lah, credits goes to him since he opened his mouth and asked the sales assistant where is the range of product placed. I know you're gonna read this, so thanks! =D Even more awesome, the cashier packed a sample of the brand's conditioner together with my toner... so yay!
- I'm totally loving CardioLatino lessons! :) It's my second lesson so far and it's been really fun. I'm thinking of taking up latin dance classes but that would have to wait till the location of our office is confirmed. Don't wanna make mad rushes down to the school yo.
- Met Ashley on Friday after work together with Ariel. =D Dinner was good and maybe a lil too much and we went back to office for a game of foosball before heading out to wander in town. None of us got anything in the end hahaha, so we sat down at ToastBox and did a bit of catching up before we headed home :)
That's all for now, I need to go and revise my Thai stuff since I've missed out class last week due to the painting of my room =X

Road to KL [part II]
So where was I.... I blogged about the Genting part of my MAA weekend, so here's the KL part!
So yup, I didn't have alot of sleep and looked like hell. But thank God for the creation of this product called the concealer hahaha! I was hiding behind my sunglasses for a good part of the trip due to lack of sleep. After we woke up, it was prolly 9ish - 10am and we quickly freshened up and packed our luggages before Ariel and I went down for breakfast :)
We settled breakfast at this cafe downstairs. I went to buy breakfast first and when I was about to make payment, the guy behind the counter said, "show?" and I was kinda confused and went "huh?" but he repeated his comment again. I was like, "you mean show my card to the person to collect my food?" and he said, "nono, you show artise?". Then I understood what he meant and laughed while replying with a "no, no" *smile*.
Waited for Adrian, Ade and Joyce to come over and join us before we make our way together to the bus terminal to wait for our transport :)

Us at the bus terminal :)

Ade & I

MAA banner sighted on our way down

Ariel and I
Our transfer was a small coach, it was kinda squeezy but thank goodness it was only a short ride as compared to the way up. We realised that the trio (consisting of a young boy, mum and his aunt perhaps) behind us were at the MAA show as well! :) So we struck up a conversation and I'm amazed at how many concerts this young boy had attended and how his mum is so supportive of him doing creative stuff like singing and acting. :) I joked and asked him for his autograph so I can sell it off when he becomes famous hahaha! By the time we were approaching KL, i was just about to fall asleep.. -.-" But anyway, Swiss Garden was so so so much better than First World, even Amelie felt so!

We checked-in and proceeded to their cafe for their welcome drink =D

Pink guava juice, I likey!

Heh, this picture is so secondary-schoolish, but I like it! Guess which fingers are mine! :)
So we were just hanging around and chatting since only one room was ready. Then Joyce and Adrian were pretty interested in Amelie.

I nearly wanted to strangle Adrian for shaking Amelie up like that!

Amelie trying to act scary. Sweetheart, just be you lah! You look better as a cute doll so stop acting like Sadako

Ariel and Ade
Afte we finished our drink, we decided to just head up to the room that was ready and chill since Ade's friend in KL will only swing by to take us around at around 3ish.

Ariel sorting out the MAA edc jackets x) We all have one each! muahahaha! To lay your hands on one, go to the nearest edc Esprit outlet near you!
So we just had one of our many pillow-talks on the trip... :) Talk about first impressions and all that... then Ade's friend was here and we all got ready to go!
So Erique drove us to Pavilion to have lunch and to do some shopping. Guess what we saw on our way there again?

It's bloody everywhere!! hahahha
We walked around in search of a place to settle lunch and guess what I saw?!

Madam Kwan's!!
This is one place I wanna check out on my KL to check out list. The other place was A&W, which we didn't manage to find one. =~( So we promptly headed in and settled our lunch there =D

Ariel & I

Joyce, Ade and Erique

The MTV gang x)

A group pic with our host, Erique!
So... we had the legendary nasi lemak, whereas Joyce had the meesiam or laksa can't remember hahaha

Yums! x)

Enjoying my teh tarik! x) This is life man...
After lunch, Erique went off while we went shopping around... Popped by TopShop.. Nine West.. Paris Hilton.. Zara... and lots lots more while waiting for our appointment with Kenko. The rest were doing foot massage/ reflexology whereas I was doing fish spa, cheaper here than in SG! =D

The fishies here were vicious, so ticklish as well!
I had a good seat, and I was reading a magazine while listening to my iPod... ahh... absolute shiokness! :)

Look at just how blissed out and relaxed they are hahha!

Yet another group pic! x)
After our Kenko session, we continued shopping around. I didn't get anything other than this hairband from F21. Their F21 outlet is HUMONGOUS!! I think Ariel and I spent like 45 minutes inside whereas the rest was in the outlets nearby hahha! Shoes, bags, accessories... Girls' heaven!
Ohohoh, I saw the Onisuka tokidoki sneakers!!

Oh, we checked out Juicy Couture too, the place is so pretty!

We were so tired, that we just sat around in the store hahaha!
After that we went to Food Republic to grab something to eat. I had my peanut butter thick toast whereas the rest of them had something heavier =D Then Erique came by to pick us up! He gave us a quick tour of KL central, and the Twin Towers, the 'MRT' station, the street of clubs and all...

This. is. just. so. magnificent.
We proceeded to Skybar, but we left and went to Luna bar as it was crowded and Adrian didn't meet their dresscode. But I'm glad we went to Luna! x) I find it so much nicer over at Luna

Both of us enjoying our strawberry magaritas! ♥

Group pic!

Another postcard-worthy picture of the Twin Towers, I love my camera! *kiss kiss camera* hahhaha!

So we sat around, had another session of pillow-talk, all the way till 2ish when we got chased out. Erique also made points on the map that we carried out so we can go exploring the next day. Oh yah, there were fireworks too. I thought I was hallucinating under the influence of alcohol but I wasn't hahaha! Wanted to snap pictures of it but was too late. Anyway, Erique drove us back to the hotel, so thankful that he brought us around :)
So Ariel and I went over to Ade's room to pick up our luggage and went over to our room. And it's HUUUUUGEEE!!! It's so spacious, I think it gotta do with the fact that it's a corner room hahahahhaa!!

Bathroom with bathtub and separate standing shower area.

Ariel was so overjoyed that she....

that she did a catwalk...

that she tried to make dust angel on the carpet...
Hahahah!
We were suposed to have yet another pillow-talk session, but Ariel fell asleep before Adeline and Adrian came over.

Gotta love those Paul Frank shorts haha!
So we had a 30 - 40 minutes session before the two of them trooped back to their room and I knocked out. Woke up late, so we both just brushed our teeth and washed over faces and headed out for our buffet breakfast.

Joyce & I

Ade and Ariel

My breakfast! Or rather just part of it... Cause I went for a couple more rounds... =X

Then we went back to our hotel rooms to freshen up and pack our luggage. I let Amelie watch cartoons while we busied ourselves..
Had a bubble bath, shiokness! =D

Teehee! Don't we look alike? =D
Once we were done with our packing, we start on our camwhoring!

Trying to act sexy but I don't think we succeeded hahaha!

Then we went down, dropped off our luggage at the concierge and snapped some pictures before we stepped out into the sun to check out Petaling St.

I tell you, the weather is a KILLER man. It's so bloody hot! I don't think my body adjusted back to the hot and humid climate after spending a couple of days in Genting and most part of the previous day in an air-conditioned environment. By the time we made it to Petaling St which wa a short 10 minutes walk away, the back of my top was SOAKED. No wonder I was Little Mss Grouchy >=( and mind you, I was carrying an umbrella to shield myself from the sun and heat and it didn't help much obviously.

Amelie at Petaling St

And of course, I gotta do my jump shot!

Yes, me and my umbrella...
We walked around abit before deciding to just head down to a massage place to relax and we found ourselves a pretty good deal - 80RM for 2 hours (body and foot massage!).

Ade's sticking her hand into the pond of Dr. Fishies!

Us waiting to be massaged.
It was quite a relaxing experience... :) We had yet another round of pillow-talk hahaha After that, we headed back to our hotel and grabbed our dinner on the way back.

I had my grilled chicken foldover and fries! =D
It was so nice that the bus-driver was waiting for us when we got back. Then we boarded the bus and went to the other locations to pick up passengers who are heading back to SG as well. It was pretty comfortable but a lil cold as well...

We joked and chatted on the way back.. I love travelling with this bunch of people! x) Hopefully we can go on another short trip together in time to come =D
