30 minutes to knock-off! :)

I went for facial at Skin Revival during lunch break, and I can feel the CNY-ness in the air at Chinatown. :) There was a road closed down for stalls to sell their CNY goodies and decorations and I can hear the dongdongdongchiang music too! =D That reminds me... it's high-time to pack my room and buy new clothes..

Facial was good, I can't believe I actually fell asleep during extraction and only woke up when Lee Min was doing accupressure. I think she was really hungry because I heard her stomach growl in the quiet room! My stomach was growling too, I hope it wasn't too loud =P

Anyways... I've finally managed to get myself a set of VS flannel pajamas through a spree!

Isn't it adorable?! Now I need not be afraid of cold nights. :) Actually I wanted the donuts print one, but it was no longer in stock so I guess I'll settle for the gum-drops pattern. It's due to arrive in 2 weeks time... brilliant!

Sunday Night

I wanted to upload this picture, but I've been too lazy/ busy/ just excuses.

One night, I dropped my pair of boxer shorts when I was retrieving my bath towel in my sister's room. I didn't notice my mising underwear until after my shower, and then I was thinking, "Eh, I thought I brought my underwear into my bathroom?". I didn't think much about it because I thought I was being the usual scatter-brain that I am. When I came out, my sister then told me that I dropped my boxers in her room and asked me where to put it, so I casually told her to just leave it on the chair in my room. She was using the computer beside me earlier on and she requested for a post-it note which I passed it to her, thinking that it was for her school notes or something. She went to bed almost immediately, and when I went into my bedroom. This was the sight that greeted me. -.-"

I almost burst out into laughter!! As if the sight of Chip wearing my boxers wasn't enough, the post-it note was stuck onto its head saying "teehee, so comfy!"

I'm a very happy girl! Today Bern and I went lomographing! :) Miss Bonita Styles (the girl that Bern hugs every night to sleep *hmpf*) was the.... "star/model" of the day. If you're wondering, Bonita is the stuffed disco queen soft-toy I got Bern for our 2nd year anniversary. Hahahaha! It was really fun :) We were at Boat Quay/Raffles area before making our way to Merlion to do the Merlion spit shot! =P It was drizzling on and off, and we took shelter at the starbucks nearby and indulged in slices of yummy cakes :)

Oh yah oh yah..... Surrealist Love Scene was having a sale (up to 80%!!! *gasp*) on Irregular Choice footwear, so how can I not drop by? :) Bern got me this pair of heels for my Valentine's Day gift, and I'm supposed to wear it only on CNY day!! I. MUST. ENDURE.

This has gotta be the most comfortable pair of heels I own. I'm throwing out my black pain in the feet peep-toe heels, pronto! Got it at a steal of $60 (80% discount)! =D Oh, the soles are really awesome, I'll show you when I wear them. It's printed and it's not the normal grooves on the bottom.

It's almost time to get a new phone again! My heart almost stopped beating when I saw this phone - Motorola Razr2 V8 Luxury Edition.

What I'm concerned about is:
- Battery life: How long does it last before I have to charge it again?
- Ringing volume of the phone: I can be quite deaf sometimes...
- And Bern was telling me that some people experienced static shock while using the phone.

Can any kind soul answer these queries?

Lomographs

It's been some time since I last posted any lomographs... :)
Seems like I'm having more luck with my pop9 than FishEye2.
Ahhh, I guess I just need a lil more time to fiddle around with my camera. :)
So yup, my new year resolution: Shoot More!
Now I'm waiting to finish up the last few frames so I can develop pictures from my FishEye2.
And yay, Bern and I will be going to snap snap snap this weekend with our lomocams! =D

Last 3 pictures from Aussie, 1st and third in Melbourne, 2nd in Brisbane :)
That reminds me that I need to blog about the overdue trip =P

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about
And she's got everything that I have to live without

Drew talks to me, I laugh cause it's so damn funny
That I can't even see anyone when he's with me
He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right,
I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do

Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly,
The kind of flawless I wish I could be
She'd better hold him tight, give him all her love
Look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do

So I drive home alone, as I turn out the light
I'll put his picture down and maybe
Get some sleep tonight

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
He's the time taken up, but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to fall into..

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.

I first heard Taylor Swift's song on 987fm and I was hooked to its melody and lyrics. Who wouldn't be able to relate to such feelings experienced as a teenager? So I went to have a listen at all her other songs, and I'm really impressed. Her songs are filled with poignant honesty and a certain carefree joie de vivre of youth.

Must. Buy. Her. CD. Once. Pay. Comes. In.

Backdated entry

Date: 12th Dec 07
Venue: Cafe Del Mar
Event: MTV Green X'mas

This is the first office party that I've attended. :) It was a Wednesday and maybe a little too advanced to celebrate Christmas, but heck it since we can escape work earlier than usual! =D After our townhall meeting, we went back to our desks to pack up and make our way downstairs to wait for the buses. We didn't move off as a whole company because some of us had to go later because they needed a longer period of time to finish their work. :) Oh yah! We also had a surprise when we stepped into office today, we all had balloons tied to our phones and we have a cupcake on our table :)

Everyone has a different design :)

It was drizzling slightly on our way there, and also when we walked over to Cafe Del Mar after we disembarked from the bus. It was a slow walk because it was drizzling. And finally we arrived! We had the area cordoned off for us, but all of us stayed in the sheltered area as it was still drizzling.

As soon as we arrived, we were all given a tag to wear. My number is really nice, 111! =D Since our theme is about going green, our tag has a small section where you can pledge to do something about the environment. People gave statements like "take public transport for a week" etc, but I decided to do something different haha!

Soon, the waiters and waitresses came and served us with drinks and finger foods! Yupyup, the cranberry drink is mine. :) So we sat and chit-chatted with colleagues we seldom talk to at work, it was pretty nice and Catherine was our source of entertainment hahaha!

Joyce and I :)

Azlin, Ariel, Dong, DD came later due to their work.

Ariel enjoying her drink!

Ariel & I

Now that our department is complete, let's take a picture! :)

Okay, the only missing person here is Kelvin.

Staying true to our going-green theme, we were encouraged to bring presents that we received last Christmas that we have no use for and re-gift it! :) Taking up in this gift exchange will give you a chance to enter the lucky draw, with the top prize being $1000 cash!!!

After a while, it's time to start eating!

Time to dig in! Yupyup, that's Denise helping herself to the food. Utt was around too :)

I must say, the creme brule was absolutely heavenly! I had several helpings =D

Yesyes, I had several of these lemon meringue (sp?) tarts too! =D

Yup, you're looking at our winners for the night, Miss Green and Mr Green! :) For the lady, she recycled a old t-shirt, used a measuring tape as her belt and did some other kooky things in the spirit of recycling if I'm not wrong. For the guy, oh well. He had used several green Nickelodeon decorations that we usually see hanging in the office to make his outfit. :) Both of them walked away with $400.

Soon, we have our awards ceremony. For weeks leading up to the party, our bar counter at the pantry had been lined up with boxes for people to drop their votes into. You know the application "Superlatives" in facebook? Yup, it's something like that. We have several categories, "Most likely to have a blonde moment", "Most likely to be a chimney", "Most likely to party like a rockstar", etc.

Here are some of our winners:

And after that, we were in for a treat: We have a drag show!! =D Okay, it was performed by the department heads, people who are usually serious looking in the office. Even our president was involved! They danced to the tunes of Macarena, and it was hilarious hahaha.

A snap shot of them doing their dance

I would love to post up the video, but I really don't wanna lose my job hahaha. What happens in MTV, stays in MTV. :)

We then had our lucky draw, and I was really aiming for the top prize, but gawd I got a lousy pair of adult tickets and children tickets to the zoo. =~( Oh well, better than walking away empty handed I guess...

Left with some of our colleagues, and we got lost because we didn't have any clear instructions on where the buses were parked that would take us to Harbourfront. So in the end, Joojin and I took the Sentosa Express out because she was going to her friend's place who was located nearby. It was a smooth ride for me home, the moment I reach the bus-stop, the bus came, and it was like that, all the way home. :)

I ♥ feet-kissing fishies!

Haha, I've been really busy and my first entry in 2008 will be about 2007!

The last weekend in 2007 at Qianhu Fish Farm
Went there with my sister Kelda, we took a train to CCK as there was shuttle bus service provided from the interchange. Actually, there's also shuttle service from Boon Lay but I don't know where exactly will the shuttle service pick up passengers from. As the bus pulled into the berth, I see happy kids carrying tanks with fish and it got me a little psyched! Maybe you don't know the purpose of us going to a fish farm, so let me fill you in. We went there for the fish spa! =D It's alot cheaper than the one at Sentosa, it's $10 for 30 mins of fish kissing your sole treatment whereas at Sentosa is $38 bucks or so if I recall correctly.

When we got off the bus, we made a beeline for the fish spa place. We passed by this area where people pay like $5 to catch 'longkang' fishes in the ponds!

Don't be naughty and catch the suckerfish!

The place had a rustic and carefree feel to it :)

So yupyup, we made our payment for the fish spa at the counter, collected our towels and we headed to the tap to wash our feet before we made our way into the pool. And this is why it's only $10 - it's a communal pool. It's really interesting, and people kept looking at their feet to see the doctorfish at work. Some also whipped out their camera phones/ cameras and started snapping pictures :)

Not getting much loving from the fishies =(

This lady came in later than us, but look at the fishies that swarmed over to her feet!! >=( Thou shalt not be jealous, it just means that she has a hell lotta dead skin. BUT STILL!! =( Okay lah, I did get a bit of fishies on my feet, but there usually nibble at the cuticle areas around my toenails. I was really hoping that they will nibble on the bottom of my feet more... It was really fun! It was quite ticklish and we're stifling our giggles because we don't wanna frighten away the fishes. After a while, we warmed up to the sensation and it just felt like there's something vibrating on your feet =D

There's nothing much to do when you have your feet in the pool and you can't really move, so we took a picture together!

Soon the time was up, we got out reluctantly and then washed our feet again before dropping off the towels that were provided. Before we left, we were given 2008 calendars, goody! :) We walked around the shop where fishies, aquarium and equipments were sold before we went to buy some snacks to munch on while we sat around in the cafe-cum-waiting area for the bus to Boon Lay to come...

It was a nice day with my irrinoying sister :) I'll blog more tomorrow! Things are starting slow at work again.... :)
