I ♥ Sundays!

I can't tell you just how much I love Sundays.
Sundays are meant for you to sleep in, without jumping out of bed realising that you gotta go to work.
Sundays are meant to be spent lazing around.
Sundays are meant to be spent with your family.
Sundays are to be spent watching TV shows and enjoy being a couch potato for that one day in the week.
Sundays are meant to be spent pampering your poor overworked soles, hands.
Sundays are meant to be spent on giving some TLC to your skin.
And.... Sundays are cheat days, calories don't count on cheat days! :)

I'm feeling happy, oh so very happy~ Tomorrow's gonna be a great day at work :)
kk, time to catch Stepford Wives!

Quick update

[add] Back from the gala premiere! :) I totally enjoyed the movie and the whole experience, despite the hassle of walking up and down and up and down just to look for the damned table to collect our tickets (those GV people were totally of no help *tsktsk*) We reached GV Vivo at around 7ish as Ariel had loads of bookings to finish before we could leave.

Tickets, coupon to redeem our hot dog and entry to the cocktail reception that we were kinda late for.

Drinks! Food!

You know, I totally didn't expect them to place popcorn and Coke on our seats! :) *teehee* I don't really drink soft drinks, so I took it home so my dad can have it.

Oh yeah.. I. Have. To. Mention. This: The Rock was in the house!! =D I managed to catch a glimpse of him heeeee. Also, there were mediacorp artistes there as well :)

The movie's really good! Top Boston Rebels football star, Quarterback Joe Kingman, has an unknown 8-year old daughter from a former marriage show up on his doorstep. This precocious youth, Peyton Kelly, transforms his life from a egotistical, promiscuous bachelor to a loving father. Instead of decreasing his popularity, his daughter makes the athlete even more popular among fans and teammates. Joe Kingman admires Elvis Presley (The King) and fills his life with Elvis memorabilia and actions. Little Peyton steers her Dad away from his exotic, blonde Russian girlfriend, Tatianna, towards her wholesome ballet teacher, Monique Vasquez. A turn of events ends with a happy ending for both the football and romance sides of this Disney family big-budget film. Ahhhh, i love happy endings :) Gonna watch this with Bern again! Thanks Ariel for bringing me! =D
[/add]

Work's been very, very very busy ever since my jobscope has been expanded.
I don't even have time to feed my (fluff)pet or go round petting friends' pets!! (think that should say alot about my current workload) All I can say is that, I hope I can manage everything without doing OT on a daily basis and I don't wanna leave the building without seeing the sun. :)

Alrighty, I'm going to get more to-dos striked off my list before I go off with Ariel to catch the gala premiere of The Game Plan :)

Will blog more about our 2nd year anniversary later on tonight when I get home :) I love my Michael Kors watch! ♥ ♥ ♥

Had a good trip to JB yesterday with my baby :) We met in the afternoon and we took 160 in. On the bus ride, Bern filled up the white card. Haha, my mum goes into JB on a regular basis to catch shows and buy stuff.

So yup, we went to shop around at City Square :D Overall, it was quite a nice trip. Bern managed to buy a couple of shirts there and also another 2 baseball tops from this second-hand shop when we were making our way over to City Square. I managed to get a pair of really plush bedroom slippers (must take a picture of this really soon!!) so that I wouldn't have to walk around leaving the whole house full of my newly moisturised foot trails, a pair of slippers, and 2 CD software for my mac (which really works for my mac)! :)

Looking forward to the next trip!

So yup, Bern got me alot of goodies from bkk!

Loadsa Little Miss series teeshirts to share with my sisters, one pillowcase which says "I don't like to sleep alone", lotsa Boots goodies and local snacks. I like the eggroll with spicy pork floss, it was so addictive that I finished half of it the moment I opened it!

Bern got me foot scrub and foot gel! :) *feeling very loved* I was telling him that the last time I did a pedicure, it suddenly dawned upon me that how much I've neglected my feet! I've ran out of foot scrub for quite some time already and have been surviving on St Ives scrub to scrub my feet (i don't know how people actually use this abrasive scrub on their face because it causes my skin to break out =\), so this new foot scrub is a godsent!

Alrighty, gotta eat and get moving! :)

Arghs!

I met Singapore's whiniest and the most selfish, and probably the most insecure woman last night at Soup Spoon. *rawr!*

I went to Raffles City after work as Bern & I were going to catch the Batsheva performance later on. Decided to have dinner at Soup Spoon, so I went over to the outlet to wait for seats. As usual, the place was packed. I saw Grace finishing and I went to talk to her. =D I noticed that there was another guy waiting for her to finish as well. So when Grace left, she motioned me to occupy her table, but I was thinking, there's someone who's waiting here longer than I have, so I guess I'll let them go first. So the guy and his girlfriend sat down at the table, meant for 5 people.

Seeing that I was still waiting around, the boyfriend was going to separate the tables so that he can give up one table for me, but his girlfriend was such. a. pain. You know what she did?? She was sitting hunchbacked, and she was stomping her feet and going "I don't want to share table with a stranger". 0.o How old is she man?! And in the end, I managed to get a table just diagonally behind theirs. And while waiting for Bern, I looked around. Most people were sharing their tables with strangers, sitting in close proximity with strangers, so what's up with that reaction man?

And it so happened that the boyfriend's friends (a couple) were around and wanted to eat at Soup Spoon too. The girlfriend was a little whiny though, she allowed the boyfriend's friends to join them at the table, but no one was to sit beside her, thus the couple was separated. After the friends went to buy their food, she asked her boyfriend, "Is the girl skinnier than me?" 0.o

What's wrong with her man?! *tsktsk*

Ashaley's last day at MTV - 4th Oct (Thursday)

My "daddy"s last day at MTV, she has found another great job and we are happy for her. It's just that now when I look at her desk, I just feel like she went on a really long holiday and she hasn't really left us afterall. Think it's the amount of stuff that's piled up hehehe. :) Now, it's just me and Ariel going to the toilet in the mornings to wash our cups and bottles together.

We decided to go Vivo because 1) Ash wanted to check out the massage place and 2) Miss Ariel Zhao wants to do a bit of shopping. Tracy was supposed to join us, but something unfortunate cropped up at home so yup she missed this one. We went to Marche!

Had to wait for a while before we finally got seats.

This table's taken!

Yummy rosti with sausage *licks lips*

We also shared other dishes, like the seafood rice, some veggies *acccks*, and both savoury crepes and crepes with ice-cream!

Dong had to leave early, leaving the 3 of us to chit-chat for a while before we went to walk around a bit. And we found ourselves at Levi's Signature where Ariel was trying on several pairs of jeans before she found THE pair of jeans. The jeans are slightly cheaper too, you can get a pair for as low as $69.90!

Keldumb's birhday on 13th Oct @ Hard Rock Cafe
Since it was a public holiday and everyone's home, it was a perfect occasion to use my HRC voucher for celebrating my favourite sister's birthday!

Rushed there after going to Siti's Hari Raya Openhouse, so that I can start queueing for the next table for 8. Didn't manage to make a reservation, but Grace helped me along :)

Soon, sister and her boyfriend came along, followed by my parents and sisters. Got settled down and was browsing through the menus, when my mum decided to disappear to buy a birthday cake for Kelda. It seems like there were alot of birthday stars in the house that night, there was so many tables around singing "happy birthday"! :)

Baby, don't you feel so lucky that I don't abuse you that way? *blinkblink*

Jumbo Combo!

Heee! the voucher given by company. Thanks MTV! :)

A lil message from Grace! hahaha, I was looking out for her on the second floor and my sisters were also trying to spot you babe1

After we were done with dinner, it's time to dish out the surprise on my sister~
Out came the HardRockers with the complimentary birthday sundae and the birthday cake from Secret Recipe! Now you know why I was so stuffed heh

Oh well, there wasn't a sabo carried out by HardRockers, I guess they were really busy with their work, but my sister still got creamed! =D

16th October 2007
Went for foot reflexology session with Ariel after work at International Building. Was quite relaxing overall, but the lady was kneading certain parts of my feet it hurt really bad! Ariel even managed to fall asleep during the foot reflexology part, but when it came to massaging her neck, arms, and back, she was in pain! =P

Herbal foot soak marks the beginning....

After the session, we went to Mango to take a look. That girl's going to HK for holiday in Dec with her parents :) And even before she's there, she's shopping already! Hahaha, after that we went over to Far East Plaza to take a look at some SkinFood products that Fashion Guide on MTV China was raving about. And since it's Tuesday, time for some half-price waffles! =D

yumms! :)

My baby's back from the land of a thousand smiles! :) Yay! *can't wait to baobao my baby when I see him in the morning*

It's been a good weekend :) Went to Siti's place for Hari Raya celebrations on Saturday. It was drizzling, I missed my stop, and thank god I didn't miss it because the route I took to Siti's place was sheltered like 80% of the time :) Food was goood! *thumbs up* Love the chicken and the cookies =D Caught up with Jasmine, Alan, Sherwin and Larry. After that, off to HRC! :)

Was there slightly earlier before the rest because I wanna secure a table before all of them arrive =P This is one of the few times we ate out as a family in a western restaurant. Most of the time we'll settle for dinner at the zichar place near our house. =P Food was good as usual, I couldn't finish my food (mac & cheese) though =\ After we were done with our food, here comes the cake and birthday sundae! :) The cake was hugggeeeee! By the time we left, I was really stuffed man. Gotta thank Grace and her fellow colleagues for making this an enjoyable birthday dinner for my sister. :D

Been drinking soup from SayBons on a regular basis during lunch time, hahaha. With soup this good, it can be my meal all the time! Been there so often that the server recognises me =D Personal favourite is tomato soup, it's really yummy!

Think my stomach is getting smaller, I get full easily, but I still crave for junk food on a daily basis hahaha =X

Happy Birthday dumbdumb!

Today's my sister's 18th birthday! :)
I actually wanted to surprise her with the Ben & Jerry's lipbalm I got from her last night, but she was out washing cars with her boyfriend. *rawr* So I did it this morning instead. I'm an early riser, so I went into the room to disturb her, asking if she wants ice-cream for breakfast, what flavour she likes, and then finally presenting to her the lipbalm! She broke out in a wide smile =D

I realise that.... I really love my sister. I truly miss her when she went off for her bkk trip with her friend last Thursday. It just felt weird coming home without someone to tease and to talk rubbish with.

And I'm glad she's home!

Even happier that she bought me some Boots goodies =D hahaha

ARGHS!
I'm so irritated with myself!! As my current cleanser is finishing, I decided to buy Cetaphil skin cleanser and give it a try... Only to realise that it's better for dry, sensitive skin. So I went to buy another cleanser which is Olay Whitening Cleanser that was meant for all skin types, only to realise it doesn't suit me either. ARGHS! *pulls hair out*

Anyone wants them? I'll let them go really cheaply, they have about 98% - 99% left.

The more recent entries

Roxy Parfum Launch at Cafe Del Mar (15th September)
Met Bern in the afternoon and we headed off to VivoCity, grabbed ourselves ice-cream and the train tickets to Sentosa for the Roxy parfum launch. It was my first time on the Sentosa Express and Bern calls me 'suaku' when I went "wah.. wahh!" because he's been on it when he went there for fam trips. -.- I can't help it, I still get all wide-eyed all the time! :)

We took a nice long walk, where we passed by Far Coast and parked ourselves at the trapeze and see people do their thing. It was fun watching the kids hahaha :) Then we walked back to Cafe Del Mar and plonked ourselves down at the comfortable chairs. I really like the place alot! :) Went ahead with the Roxy photoshoot and got the picture to keep. Bern ordered this green-coloured drink which I can't remember the name, and it was yummy! I sipped on my frozen peach margarita and when I finished the drink, I licked the sugar on the rim of the glass, niceee. Andrea Fonseka was the host of the event and at first glance, she looked rather mannish! =X But after several looks, she looks good lah. Saw some personalities as well, like Muttons (Vernon A and Justin), Shan Wee, yadayada.

LIME Flea Market (22nd September)
This is my first time setting up a stall at a flea market! :) I really gotta thank my mum, she's always so prepared! She helped me stuff all my secondhand clothes, accessories, CDs et al into a luggage, prepared a pouch with $50 worth of $1 coins, $100 worth of $10 notes, $50 worth of $2 notes (total $200 worth of change) and helped me carry down the rack that I'll be using to display the clothes on. She was worried that I couldn't get a cab easily but hoho, I managed to hail a cab within 2 minutes of waiting :) So picked up Bern along the way and off we went to Cathay Cineleisure.

We reached there rather early, town was still kinda peaceful and the people hanging out at LJS were some of the flea market stallholders. When the people in-charge came, we lugged our stuff over and I went to get information of our stall location. I was hoping that it would be a good location, and that was what I got. :) We were located near the trees, so we got ample shade and breeze, the place was also exposed to human traffic :) I realised how lucky we were when I walked past stalls that were in the sun with the owners holding articles to block the sun off their faces on my toilet break. And thank god there was a stall providing non-stop music! The other time I went to pay the rental of the booth, it was deathly quiet. = I think my guardian angels really answered my prayers :)

Managed to get a good amount of clothes cleared and boy, people really know how to bargain! :) Anyway, I made a profit, covered my retnal fee, set-up costs and taxi fare. It was fun, but it will be quite a while before I set up another booth again :)

Lunch @ HRC (28th September)
As we (as in Catherine, Ash, Ariel, Dong, Azlin, Serena, ladies from Ops, and moi) volunteered to help out for our MTV's children's day, we were rewarded with HRC vouchers! We were to share $100 voucher among the 5 of us (Ariel, Ashaley, Catherine, Dong and me) initially, but the ladies from Ops gave us their $100 voucher as well because take-aways weren't allowed with the voucher. So, YAY!!! =D

On our way there

So we shared a chilli crab dip, and a jumbo combo which came with a variety of starters like spring rolls, chicken tenders, onion rings, potato skins and buffalo wings. Haha, we totally maximise the chilli crab gravy dip by coating our food in it! We also each ordered a drink and a main course; which I picked Twisted Mac n' Cheese with grilled chicken. :)

We really enjoyed our food, and by the time my main course was served, I was 60% full. -.- So I offered everyone to have a bit of my Mac n' Cheese while I tried to stuff myself as much as possible, which I failed haha.

Goodbye Hard Rock! :) *back to work*

Dinner at Sakura International Buffet (30th September)
Met up for dinner on Sunday with Ariel, Dong, Azlin and Chiuyan. The spread wasn't too bad :) there are the visuals hehe
I only started snapping pictures after my first round =p

Soup, drink, and lotsa food!

Clockwise from top left: Ariel, moi, Dong, Chiuyan, Azlin

I've got my strategy when I have buffets after my experience at Kuishin-bo.
Tip #1: Take whatever you wanna eat just once, that way you'll get to sample alot and feel satisfied, not bloated till you feel like puking.
Tip #2: Go easy on the main course so you can overdose on desserts =D

MTV Kids @ Work day (1st October)
Remember we volunteered to help out at our children's day celebration? It's da day! MTV staff brought their children, nephews and nieces to the office for an afternoon of fun, food and entertainment!

Ariel and I were in charge of activities like bowling and foosball. It was damn tiring, rearranging the pins, the pins were so wobbly in the first place!! After a while, I gave up. =X Actually, this little cute girl who's like perhaps 2-3 years old playing with it and I guess well, let her play lah :)

There was also a game station for the kids to play Xbox. Other activities are like colouring, tattooing, yadayada :)

Guess who came?

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS AND PATRICK STAR!

The kids were really happy to meet Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick! Our fellow colleagues kindly volunteered to be the mascots haha :) *salute*

Cakes with Dora the explorer and Spongebob Squarepant on them :)

There was also a studio tour for the kids, some of them got to go into the Pop Inc set and got filmed! :)

Kids love playing foosball hahaha. I was quite scared because some kids might get poked in the eyeball by the sticks because they are not as tall, so I was always alert.

We also had food and following that, the Ronnie Rainbow magic show!

Pardon the English, I think Sally has alot on her mind to care about the mistakes =p

Tracy's girls in pink enjoying the show :)

The kids were really engaged, the participants for each magic trick walked away with a balloon sculpture. The kids on the floor were chanting "burst! burst! burst!" while the magician was twisting away to form the balloon sculpture. hahaha :)

Everyone's lining up to get a balloon sculpture

A picture with the magician

Now pictures of kids *cue 'awwww's and 'so cute's*

Now some pictures of us!

Ariel & I, matching Spongebob tees!
