New layout!

It's been a long long time since I had a change in layouts! :)
Credit goes to my younger sister who coded the layout on my behalf because I'm errr, lazy. My first layout on my 苹果. This is so fun! I can blog in chinese without having to go to some other website to get the translation done =D

Yesterday, went to Big Mac Centre with Bern to source for some beading materials. =) Then met mum, dad, the siblings, my cousin and his family at AMK Hub for a farewell dinner for my cousin. Soup Restaurant was good! I totally enjoyed the food teehee!

After dinner, Bern, Kelila, Kelda and I decided to go catch a movie. We caught Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer. And I treated them to Andersen's. =D I enjoy such family time together... :)

I spent most of today, preparing pieces for my upcoming collection while watching TV. It was pretty fun and quick, thanks to the skills I've accquired from my Professional Wirework classes hehe..

Look, ma! I've got a gingerbread man! *beams*

I was in NPCC in sec skl and was one of the two students selected for OBS, it was fun and I really miss those camping days and the nights we slept under the stars.

I was really quite upset because I was aiming for an A1 since I usually get A1s for class tests and all that. I even took it twice because I wanted to get at least an A, which I failed. Damn, must be the oral then.

Utt was around for filming today and he needed help to enter the office as he didn't have the pass. He resorted to knocking, pounding and pressing his face close to the gap of the door, hoping to be seen. So I went to help him open the door twice in the end, and he was pretty polite about it. HAHAHAHA. :))

My mum's spending alot of money on gadgets this month. She went to the Akira warehouse sale and bought a matte pink DVD camcorder, a couple of computer mice, and a massage chair. Then she went to Suntec epi centre and guess what? She got me a Macbook! =D I've been using Kelda's Macbook Pro on weekends to check emails and stuff and I quite like using it.

Okok, the thing is - I'll still be paying her back, installment style. I don't really feel good getting a new (expensive) gadget from my mum when I'm already earning money. :) So yesterday, I've begun charging my Macbook and backing up stuff on my PC. Maybe today, I'll turn it on (no pun intended).

Bern & I caught Shrek 3, it was okay.. Duration of the movie was kinda short. I prefer the first and second movie, it seems like they've ran out of movies to spoof and jokes to crack. *shrugs*

Bern & I also checked out the PC fair at Suntec for the laptops, it was crowded, but not as bad as expected. I doubt the air-conditioning was working, it was warm inside and by the time we got back, my head was starting to hurt. x(

*sigh* I HATE waiting. I can't emphasize that enough. x(

So yesterday, I went for Yogasana class early in the morning. :) The session was good. Alot of stretching/holding poses and a couple of balancing poses as well. It helps to centre the mind, and I left the room feeling totally refreshed and ready for the day. Too bad it won't be a class I'll be taking frequently because it doesn't fit my schedule =(

In the afternoon, Bern and I went exploring Haji Lane! We had lunch at Kampong Glam Cafe at Bussorah St. Our initial plan was to try the japanese curry rice nearby, but we were too busy ducking the rain so we decided to just settle down at KGC. :) I like the chicken and the ikan bilis with crunchy peanuts!

The weather turned better, so we were out to play! Haji Lane is such a quaint alley, a treasure trove even. :) Japanese vintage dresses going for $25 bucks - you can hold the fabric in your fingers and know it's vintage for sure. Then we popped into some really cool shops as well.




I really dig this fish-tub! It's really cool, we walked up the creaky stairs to check out more clothes and there were denim skirts going for like $20 and jeans for sale. It felt like checking out someone's attic, because... it's really old (gotta tread softly because you won't want your feet through the floor) and there were cobwebs hanging around, I'm not sure if it's intentional but I feel it's pretty charming in its own way. And I wasn't the only one who was snapping pictures around! =P

Bern says there's plenty of such shops around in Sydney and I'm hoping there's such shops in Melbourne too =D For now, I'm sure I'll be checking out Haji Lane more now.

We also went to Arab street and I've found another place to source for beads and etc! I'm a happy girl x)
