Letter to myself
Don't you feel loved? You thought the day will fly pass without anyone remembering it. You thought your mummy forgot totally about it because there was no birthday cake. You thought all your friends forgot about it because they are not meeting up this week for a celebration. No one said anything about birthday celebrations other than your beloved boy who sprung surprise after surprise. But midnight came, your phone started ringing. Birthday SMSes from friends, from people you haven't heard from for a long time came in. Your boy called, and sang you a birthday song asked you to open up the door at the stroke of 12. He sent you home around 10ish, but he hung around till 12 just to present you with a kiss and your present (that T&Co Frank Gehry fish pendant) that's on your list of desirability. Then the friend you held close to your heart remembered your birthday afterall when she pestered you to check if you've received any email. Her message touched you and you told her that you thought she forgot all about it and she called you a silly girl. The woman who bore you and provided you with everything you wanted, didn't forget your birthday afterall! She SMSed you at the stroke of midnight as well, despite the fact she's not very tech-savvy. You went into the room and saw a red packet with familiar handwriting and felt tons better.
Babe, I want to tell you that you're very blessed. You got nearly everything a girl could wish for. A lovely boyfriend who loves and adores and pampers you to no end. Sisters who tend to your every whim and fancy, a great one who gives you a hug when you feel like things are crashing down and listens to all your rants when youre feeling all angsty. Lovely mum who cooks anything that you feel like eating, and stocks up bottles of Yakult and make your sisters finish up the rows of Vitagen that she bought wrongly previously because you only drink Yakult. People who care about you and lets you know so on your birthday via various ways!
The year is coming to an end, but things are only going to get tougher. But you gotta believe in the law of ability; whatever that's put into your life, you can handle it. Don't get all stressed out, hit the gym, beat that nasty stress. Dont let your fear hold you back from doing greater things (no matter what that may be in the future). I know you want to do advertising, and I know, you can do a good job. Even if the pay is peanuts, remember what you want to achieve and its worth it.
But all in all, remember; always love yourself, don't be too hard/ critical. Work hard, play even harder. Keep discovering new things, have fun and always laugh alot, never lose the inner child in you to the nasty mean things out there. Be a fighter and a firm believer of yourself. You're beautiful, no matter what they say.
I love you babe. Happy Birthday
Love,
Me

Saturday entry
Decided to skip all trips to Amore, Pilates, StretchFit and gym workout. I need the sleep, like badly. Coming home everyday at 11ish for almost 2 weeks is no joke. My eyebags are showing. =( A couple of hours more before Bern come and whisk me away for a couple of days of relaxation. I think that includes a trip to *gasp* the Zoo and Night Safari! Yippeee!
Wednesday, met up with my secondary school girls for a celebration, in lieu of guangixan's and my birthday :) Was terribly late because of work. Yikes, the dirty four-lettered word. x( It was not too bad. Dinner at Crystal Jade, a short walkabout at Holland V and then off we went to Starbucks! :) Managed to get ourselves good comfortable seats, before the cam-whoring began. My girls, we took a total of 171 photos!! say WOAH!! Hahaha, you girls made me laugh and smile till my cheeks ached. :) Thanks for the lovely company and gifts... I'll take the bag out for my weekend shopping! :)
Here we are at Starbucks
Crazy pictures!

Utilizing my camera's self-timer function...
Okay, 2 seconds is definitely not enough
10 seconds is definitely enough x)
Forlorn looks on our faces...
Thanks babes... =)
Super unflattering picture of me, but I'm putting up anyway cuz my friends are looking really good :)
Looking forward to our next meet-up... should be the Christmas gathering already right? :) Can't wait to see the classmates again!
I'm just hoping and praying that I won't be all stressed out on my birthday worrying about screwed up inventory/ media schedules/ emails, if not, this would be the most screwed-up birthday I'll ever have. =(
By the way, me thinks my new neighbour (in the office) is pretty... with flaws though =((
But me likey her tin of sins! =D
Tracy talked to me and Ariel, saying that she's not going to renew our contract. It was a Tyra-Banks moment, then she continued with her next statement (minus all the screaming that Tyra always do when she announces exciting stuff that the models are going to do): "I'm going to perm you two" So waiting for the contract to come this mid-december... in the meantime, i shall not commit any horrendous mistake that will put my head or her head on the chopping board. This means, medical leave, annual leave and dental/medical benefits! Transport allowance and meals allowance are a given. I hope I just won't crack under the pressure right now... Traffic Scheduler-cum-Media Planner for now... I wonder what's the jobscope next year will be like, hmmmm... But right now, I'm getting a leeeeeetle stressed up because right now as you know, I'm handling like 2 person's jobs, and the additional work requires tons of calculations and money.. I'm really scared man...
Friday's lunchtime was good... We all tasted Tracy's motherly love... She cooked for us! =D Yummyy... maybe we can start a culture of Friday Food Day or something :D
A few more hours, can't wait!!

Meetup!
Both Guangxian & I will be turning 20 really really soon... So let's meet up for a get-together again kk?
Date: Any dayfrom 20th - 23rd (after work) or the week after that. Pick a day!
Venue: I've got some suggestions on where to go..
If we are sticking to our comfort zone in Holland V, let's head somewhere else instead of where we usually meet up at Brekos.. x)
Options:
- Spizza: We can order appetisers and share a pizza... Then finish off with gelato for dessert!
- 211 Cafe: This place is located on top of Holland Village Shopping Centre..
Check out this review: This rooftop café boasts of a bird’s eye view of Holland Village which no other restaurant in the area can match. With an alfresco dining area that can house 120 people, 211 Café is the perfect place to host outdoor parties. Foremostly a Mediterranean restaurant, the café specialises in Italian food, and the portions here are big. Haven’t drop by in a while? Come on down, 211 Café changes it’s menu every three months. - Other choices will include Swensen's and NYDC
If we are going in be in town area:
- Balcony
- Sakae Sushi
- Billy bombers
- Fish & Co
- Hard Rock Cafe
Or alternatively, if we are crazy enough, we can have a McDonald's kids' party! =D But we'll need to get at least 15 people... so... if we can find another like 10 more friends, this could be perfect hahaha
But if you have any ideas on where to go, share them k? :)

I need to get this out of my system
I no longer have spare time to squander. Every minute had been utilized, viewing commercial tapes, final planning, replying emails that never fail to come in every few minutes, preparing media schedules, yadayada. My only moments of relaxation would be lunchtime, where it's totally free of work, and my visits to the restroom. I don't even watch TV anymore, I listen to the voiceovers.
[co-workers, if you're reading this, you can skip it. im ranting and raving. ignore me please, kthx.]
Like seriously, I'm danm pissed off today. I began my final planning last night based on the statement that everything will be ready for me to do in the morning (which I take it as no more changes will be made today in the morning/afternoon). but noooo, I hafta wait AGAIN because there are last minute bookings. I wait, nevermind. After a while, I start bugging people. You say it's all done, so I start printing out the schedules. Then you tell me, you hafta drop spots/ some changes have to be made. The one thing I hate the most, is waiting. You think it's very fun for me to open, close, open the breaks for you to add/drop spots ah? I got a life other than work you know? I so wanna scream my head off just now. I so wanna strangle people, that I started strangling my Eeyore. And now, everyday I hafta a to-do list, to make sure I haven't left anything out, especially important stuff that involves money. I don't think a first real job should be this stressful. I know, I know, it would be good practice before I move on to another place.
But seriously, I'm very irritated. My Indo programmers are getting fired? Like what the hell? What you did to us here isn't enough?? My Indo counterparts' morale were low, so I hafta postpone today's work till tomorrow. Final planning, integrating, media schedules, emails, tapes, yadayada, etc. I don't think I'll be able to attend tomorrow's BellyBlitz class. tamade one loh.
Okay lah, there are occasional perks. Like today my programmer passed me a tee that was flown in from... Indonesia or Thailand for the VJs to wear on the show. Like getting racks to sort my schedules and sales orders. Like a coaster for my mug. But that's about it.
AND WE ARE MOVING. what the hell, must fricking move the damn compactus AGAIN. You think what, we are Hercules or what? it's 6 years worth of paper (transmission logs, sales orders, schedules, etc) from all the different channels. I so wanna faint and flop.
I'm so not looking forward to work tomorrow. Weekend, please fly by faster. Make tomorrow pass so fast that I don't even know it.
