Pictorial entry - Kuishinbo Buffet!

Met up with my baby after work and we took a bus down to Suntec City. Got to Kuishinbo and hafta wait for a while to get a table inside. The selection of food is woah, woah, WOAH!!

Describing of the food won't do justification. Look at the pictures below:

Food, glorious food!

dessert section - cakes, doraemon's favourite food (can't remember what it is), chocolatee eclairs, dark chocolate, white chocolate, fruit tarts, fondue, etc.

woo! Green Apple mousse --> also part of the dessert

Teppanyaki! - Order your food, give them your table number and they will deliver it to you :)

Good food!! I love fried food. Ebi fry, yakitori, deep fried softshell crab, kori-karaage, ebi tempura woohooo!

This is really cool... Paper steamboat! Choose from the different flavours =D I took the fried salmon one.

*slurps* damn interesting. The staff lights the solid fuel and the soup will start boiling in a while.. But the bad thing is.. I got scalded while I was eating a small bowl of soba placed beside the paper steamboat. =( It still kinda hurts.

Baby readdy to dig in!

Sushi sushi...

Sushi still

I love dessert! yummy!

Love the soft vanilla ice-cream and the white chocolate man, damn sinful. Green apple mousse was not bad too.. :) Just sampling everything makes me feel so full and bloated that I felt really pregnant. haha, I was soooo full that it's not funny anymore. We took a walk around.. and we went to the tikam tikam machines and then got the cute cute alien tumbler figurines from Toy Story and we got the Fish from Chicken Little as well!! *hophophops* :)

Bern was like a little boy when he received his present. Because the day before he was trying to guess the present I got him and he guessed it was a shirt. But it was a pair of diamond ear studs that I got him instead. :D sacrificed my entire shopping budget and maybe a little more for the month, but seeing him so thrilled makes it all worthwhile. and that's not all. Cuz on the day itself, a surprise just came up in time! Nickolodeon was giving out 10 limited tickets for the preview screening of movie Barnyard: The Original Party Animals at the Singapore Zoo under the stars! Everyone's limited to taking only 1 ticket.. but I got Adriel to help me take :D thanks

Gonna look forward to picnicking under the stars, watching the movie with Bern!

=D Happy 10th monthiversary!

Yupyups, today's the 10th monthiversary for me and bern... It wasn't easy getting together.. and I cherish times spent with him loads :)

It was really crazy just now when an email from the SAM department reached our inboxes that informed us that there were 10 pairs of WOMAD tickets. People really RAN to the reception counter to get the tickets within seconds of receiving the email.. hahaha :D I didn't make it there...

But... I managed to get 2 tix to get Barnyard movie preview screening at the zoo this saturday! :D Time to find a mat, and pack for a picnic and movie under the stars! :D I'm loving my life at MTV!

Rocking Weekend!

(: Just got home not too long ago.. Had quite a weekend with Bern.

This morning, I went for my Cardio Blitz class at Amore.. It was fun!! I love the upbeat songs that were played while we were working out... :) Cardio Blitz is the most fun class I've attended so far... followed by yoga intro and hiphop. Didn't really like StretchFit somehow...

Met Bern at Jurong Point after class, and we had our brunch before we took a cab down to East Coast! Plan of the day: To visit Lilliputt to play mini-golf, Singapore attractions style! :D It didn't hurt that I have a Lilliputt discount voucher that could be used. So it was ($18+$15) - 10% for both Bern and I in the end.

Some background info, LilliPutt is Singapore’s first themed indoor 18-hole mini golf course with familiar Singapore landmarks, such as the Esplanade, Padang, Suntec City, Singapore Zoo, Mount Faber, etc.

So after receiving our golf balls, our putters and our scorecard, we headed for the course! It wasn't as empty as I thought it would be.. haha It was really fun! At some stations, there are mechanisms (like a lift/cable car) that carry your golf ball from one location to another before you take another swing.

Peekchures!

We're at the Jurong Bird Park!

Oops... are we allowed to feed the duckies?

My baby at Boat Quay

Bern at Big Splash! which is not too far away from Lilliputt...

Let's go skiing like the little fellas at Snow City near Science Centre!

The Incredible Bern! You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Welcome to the Changi Airport mini-golf course!

Would you like some famous Singapore chilli crabs?

Fruits are good for you!

*Goodluckgoodluck!*

Haw Par Villa. I wonder who still goes there man..

There were some times I played better... and there were times Bern played better.. hahaha, and some times where the ball just refused to drop into the hole! But Bern's the overall champion! :) And at a particular station where Bern's golf ball got stuck, we fixed it ourselves.. and an additional golf ball popped out! =P finder's keeper!

After our game, we took a loooooong walk in East Coast Park.. Saw many family gatherings.. or gathering of friends... tents perched by the beach... :) It's really relaxing.. Next time when we have kids, we're gonna bring them to the beach, to stop and smell the salty breeze, have fun just chilling in the tent with the food and building sandcastles by the beach. :)

We stopped over at Mcdonalds and got ourselves drinks.. and we read the newpaper together. After that, we played bowling! hahaha... I had 4 0s before I managed to hit anything.. =D after that, we took yet another very long walk to get to Parkway Parade.. :) Parkway Parade's really huuuuge. We took quite a while to just cover the first level. We went up to the second floor for a while before we decided to eat at Sakae while resting our poor tired feet. :D We also bought VCDs!! Monsters Inc and The Incredibles. :) Hopefully we'll watch it over the weekend or something...

We took a butt-numbing ride back to Jurong on 197... :) Looking forward to our 10th monthiversary! :)

Midweek update

:) Tomorrow, Indonesia will be having their public holiday! All the way till next Monday! Hooray to leaving at 6pm on the dot! This is very good, very good. :)

So tomorrow, my life will be rather relaxed... waiting for my supervisor to teach me new things.. and doing my own stuff. :) Tres bien! For the past few days since last week, I've been rushing to finish waay before hand so everyone can be happy, enjoying their holidays. So tomorrow.. I'll be chilling, enjoying myself... though I'm still physically stuck in the office. Don't think I wanna take half day or anything.. I'm only 2 months ++ old...

Ooh, been popping into Amore during lunch break! Ever since I signed up after the yoga intro class with Jiewei, I've been utilising the gym at Park Mall. And by the way, yoga class was goood. I didn't break out into a sweat, but when I wake up the next day, my muscles are aching all over! Heh, muscles sleeping for a long time eh.. :D And I love the environment.. No noise.. No crowd.. Only upbeat music playing in the gym.. And I haven't seen narcisstic people around... unlike what Bern experienced at California.. :) Going for hip hop class tomorrow night.. I think it's gonna be fun~

Yesterday after work, We visited the army market for dinner and headed to golden mile complex to check out the thai supermart! We entered the building and the smell is really pungent and suffocating because of the wet market in a air-conditioned place... *faints* Quickly went up to the Thai supermart and spent quite sometime there.. haha Bern got his powder shampoo that he's been looking for.. :D and the bargain of the day: Milk-cream wafers in a pack of 15 for $0.95!! It tastes like the milk version of the chocolate covered wafer biscuits that we eat when we were kids.. hahaha :D

k.. need to get back to work now :)

The Meet-Up

Met up with Jiewei and Mag after work on Friday at Balcony, and I was the earliest! I can't believe I ended work earlier than expected :D So I was walking around Heeren with Bern till Jiewei arrived. :) Settled down at Balcony and chatted, browsed through the menu to see what to order for dinner. Mag arrived really late, at 8ish due to an urgent meeting and an review of her performance at her company.

The Balcony was pretty empty, prolly because everyone in Singapore was out at Marina Bay/Sheares Bridge/ Esplanade/ wherever else catching the fireworks display. It felt like as if we booked the whole place for ourselves! :)

Some peekchures:

My dinner: Grilled chicken with black pepper sauce

Jiewei and Mag both ordered the Mediterranean Fish & Wedges!

It was great catching up with the girls between mouthfuls of food :) hehehe, chatted about girly stuff and everything and spilled a few secrets! ahahah, i love them :) They were the first friends I made when I joined poly, the first two friends to run to when I was upset and I'm glad our friendship is stronger than ever now!

Now us three:

Another shot

Now, this shall be our monthly affair! Looking forward to the next time we meet up and our slumber party :D

Helen the Baby Fox

Caught Helen the Baby Fox after work on Friday. Work ended later than usual, despite I'm closing only 1 day. Thought we were late for the movie, but thank goodness we are not! There were people who were even later than us :P

The story is about a little boy named Taichi who discovered a baby fox crouching near the side of the road and he decides to take care of the baby fox despite objections of the dad-to-be/vet. Upon taking a closer look at the baby fox, it was then found out that the fox was blind, deaf and mute. Taichi named the baby fox Helen, after the blind author Helen Keller. Initially she refused to drink milk, and refused to eat meat. But under Taichi's devoted efforts, she began to eat and thus, prolonging her life. This is a heartwarming story about hope, survival and love, peppered with comical and fun moments shared between Taichi and Helen. Love the animals starring in the show, like the parrot and the the labador :)

Some pictures!

Taichi immortalizing memories

So cute lah!

The movie's pretty picturesque as well. But it was sad to see the baby fox die at the end of the show, you could hear people sniffing in the cinema. =~(

It's been quite a while...

It's been quite a while since I last blogged. What can I say? Somehow, tiredness overpowered me the past week and I haven't had the time to blog as well. The worrywart in me was occupied worrying about my aching and inflamed gums for the past few days. A visit to the dentist calmed my nerves down a little because I had a minor case of gingivitis before and I'm scared that all my teeth will drop off. =P

Saturday was good. :) Took a cab down with Bern to Nailzstory at Heeren to do my nails. My fingers and toes deserve a pampering (courtesy of Bern! *muacks*) after working them so hard at work. The place's really nice.. It's situated in a lingerie shop called Fling. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crazy Saturday crowd. I mean, not many people came into the outlet... save for ladies who wanna buy lingerie, or the young hormones-raging teenaged couples browsing around. While I was waited on hand and foot (I was given my manicure and pedicure at the same time!), my baby was doing major damage in Flash & Splash. haha that boy bought boardshorts and tees that came up to about 300+! Remind me never to leave him unattended in any shopping mall that has a Flash & Splash outlet. ;) Oooh, he also went to buy the tickets for the fireworks viewing hippo tour! :D

After my manicure and pedicure session, we popped by Tangs' Island Cafe for our very late lunch.

Look! my new nails!

The menu's pretty interesting... I ordered Black Pepper Crab Tung Hoon and a cranberry cooler! :D It was really good :) I love soft shell crabs hehehe

My black pepper crab with tung hoon, sans the vegetables! ((:

My cranberry cooler! :) After finishing my drink, I asked Bern to tie the cherry stalk with his tongue and he gamely took up the challenge. I kept on making funny faces, but Bern focused on completing the 'mission'.. and he managed to do so in a short period of time! :)

Think I'm getting fairer x)

Lunch's done and it's time to shop! Topshop was having sales! :D Bern bought me a top whereas he bought a shirt for himself.. But that's not all. We took a bus down to Suntec and continued to shop! And my baby found the shirt that didn't have his size at the Wisma branch and I found another top :D We walked around with our gelatos before making our way to the Hippo bus!

We are taking the red bus!

So we went for a short spin before we were dropped off at Esplanade for a short while. The Esplanade was really crowded. It was as if the whole of Singapore turned up for the fireworks display! We made a beeline for the shop (with a really unique concept) that sells customised bears! Initially we wanted to make two bears, one cheerleader bear and one rugby player bear because they represent us. But... no rugby player uniform.. so too bad! There are many different sizes and types of bears.. different kinds of costumes and even shoes to go along! Settled for the type of bear skin, stuffed it up till I say it's okay, placed a heart with a written message on the left side of my bear and sent my bear for a spa! I massaged it as well... hehehe After that I put on the costume for my bear :D The attire even came with pompoms! It looked really adorable.. Took the height and weight for my bear and off we go to print the birth certificate for it.. And if my bear ever lose weight/grow thinner, i can come back to the shop to stuff it again for free! :D So, everybody, say hi to Cookie *when i insert the picture in the entry*!
We boarded the bus again... and while waiting for the fireworks display to start, games were played to keep the people occupied.. then there was a short, faint introduction of Team Italy before the fireworks started. It was really pretty :) Better than the year my Yr 1 classmates and I went for... hehee :)

*BOOM! BOM!* Fireworks!

Like the ending fireworks... It was like watching a meteor shower.. haha :)
