(:

Life's been good these days.

I've suffering fatigue from the different kinds of reality (read: voting-related) shows. Singapore Idol, Project Superstar, Superband and the likes. Being into the second season already, I expect Singapore Idol to be better. It IS better, as in, the treatment the finalists enjoy [stay at Hangout @ Emily], more media coverage, yadayada but the quality of the contestants isn't any better than last season's. Not all the finalists are bad, but a few really can't carry a tune. As usual, we see somewhat of a repeat of last season's Jessea and Jerry. When will Singapore learn to vote on people's talent and not looks man? Mediacorp, please bring on good drama serials! Ghost Whisperer, Lost, Desperate Housewives et al. Lost is getting exciting... *rubs hands in glee*

Caught Camp Jim on MTV today! *boinkboinkboinkhappily* It's a cheerleading show and I'm happy that I caught it! Firstly because: it is usually shown at 11pm and I'm cableless at home so that kinda suck and secondly, it's about cheerleading and I get to see how US cheerleaders do their thing and how's their camp like :D So magnum juniors, go catch it! :) It priemeres on 2 Aug 11pm :D

Gosh, can't believe I sound like a TV junkie. Can't really blame me when I have the TV all the time while I'm at work and I rush home most of the time to catch the shows I like to watch. hehehe.

Today's been a great day as well :) Big boss's birthday and our department celebrated for him! Birthday cake, pizzas, chicken wings, fries and 14 happy people :) hehe... Even Denise Keller came by and sang a birthday song for Big Boss! :D After finishing the food, we headed down to Secret Recipe at PS for somemore food hehehe

I got Squidward soft toy!! My second premium to date.. Now Squidward and Patrick can accompany each other over the long weekend... hehehe :)

Can't wait for the day to end! Gonna catch The Lakehouse with my baby :) *huggles*

*boinkboinkboink!*

i'm loving my trampoline! :D

Thanks baby for the 9th monthiversary present, i'm loving it!

Went to get the sunglasses that fit me (finally!) the other time I dropped by Tangs to spend my Starhub vouchers which in the end, I used to get a pair of Nike cargo pants. Damn nice lah :D

Seventh month had started.... Don't go home too late people! You don't wanna go home alone to realise that you're not so alone afterall... right? And who's that standing behind you ah?

hahahahaha :)

9th monthiversary!

Went to Park Royal for buffet after work yesterday with Bern. The food was food! We took a bit of everything to try... hehe, yummy! Everything was good, the fondue and all... But I didn't like the taste of oysters though =P

We walked around and took the DHL balloon! hahaha, Singapore's landscape's really amazing. The cars on the highways look like ants moving.. hehe, I was shaking a little because of my fear of heights.. =P

Now now... Here's a very photogenic picture of 肥猫. She's so pretty right? hehe, did your heart melt? She just finished eating her food that we fed her.. She slobbered all over our palms! hehe :)

it's been quite a while...

Things wasn't too good between Bern & I for the past few days... All couples cry, fight, scream at each other, I guess no relationship is ever smooth-sailing. But it's the struggle to keep everything together, to make things work that makes it all worthwhile and memories following even sweeter. :) I love you anyhow, anyway okay?

Caught Pirates of the Caribbean on Monday with Bern and it was swashbucklingly good! It was comparable to the Curse of the Black Pearl... To understand this sequel, you need to have watched Black Pearl first, if not you'll not catch the inside jokes. :) Davy Jones and his crew on the Flying Dutchman looks really creepy. *shivers* Kinda of an abrupt ending with an unexpected character at the end, I cannot cannot say anymore if not I'll spoil your experience!

It's thursday already and I can't help but wait for Friday to come! I need a break from work! I hate papercuts *rawr*

Note to self:
- Make appointment with Kenneth for haircut

The Shape Run 2006

It was my first marathon. Previously, I was only at marathons, cheering people on from the sideline and I told myself I wanted to be the one running and having loadsa people cheering me on. haha, that's the cheerleader me then..

No doubt it's only 5km, it was a personal challenge for myself to see how far I can push myself. Furthermore, the usual distance I cover was only 2.4km the most and the longest distance I trained for the run was 3.2km (and I did that only once! *lazy*) I'm glad to say that I managed to run most of it, stopping only when the stitches kicked in real bad and I had to stop and walk for a short while for the pain in the side to subside. Am even happier when my tendonitis didn't even act up during the entire run! It felt really good that *bounces around like a happy bunny*

The downside was that I was alone throughout the entire run because mag and shuling didnt manage to submit their entry forms in time. =( But it wasn't too bad, I had my trusty iPod nano with me, blasting fast-paced music. :) and Bern woke up early and accompanied me to the run and waited patiently for me to cross the finishing line with the camera in his hand. :)

Some pictures from the run:

All ready for the run!

Crossing the finishing line in a bit... And I notice I've been smiling throughout the entire run haha (:

I like this picture (:

Taken with bern's new N70!

Then off we went to Marina Square to queue up for the runner's kit and certificate. Had a bad experience because there was this very bitchy lady who was screaming at people to get in line and not cut queue. The situation was that there was two lines now at 10:30am and somehow everything's kinda messed up. So when everyone from the second line went to queue up behind that first line, they CUT my queue!!! *tsktsk* kiasu singaporeans. It's not as if the kits will run out or what.. But other the poor organisation, the freebies inside the goodie bag rocked! :D Almost everything was useful to me in the bag and that bag was really heavy hahaha! Love the nike towel, nike bottle, Kenzoki samples, yadayada. :)

And I got my timing at the end of the very long wait and it was.... 41 mins and 50 secs. :) Not fantastic I know, but I'm happy that I did it and enjoyed the process.

Then we took a bus down to Harbourfront and had dimsum buffet at Dragongate Restaurant! My first time trying dimsum at that place... (: By the time, all our dishes were served, we were stuffed and bloated!

At Dragongate!

With some of our dishes

After that, we walked around to let the food digest... Went into Big by Safe megastore and explored... haha love the OSIM iSqueez!! My aching feet were well-massaged and both me and Bern fell asleep while resting.. haha shiokness (: then we headed home and slept on the bus...

"nites baby. you deserve a good rest for the good work you've put into the excellent run this morning. can't tell you enough how very proud of you that i am. sweet dreamz baby. missing you already. muacks" - bern's sms after he sent me home to rest after dim-sum buffet. absolute sweetness

Siti's 21st Birthday Bash!

Met up with Mag in town before we headed down to Siti's place. We settled down at Coffee Bean and caught up with each other. :) Then we went to Marina Square to pick up my Shape Run stuff for the run the next day and we bumped into Priscilla, my adcre classmate! She's working at Youth & You... and it was their birthday celebration and they were having 1 for 1 specials for their products! :) So she introduced a cleasner that was suitable for me and I decided to get a moisturiser and toner as well.. A whole new set of skincare products for my troublesome skin that has grown oilier over the past year. :D Oh met up with Geri as well..

We took a bus to Siti's place and guess what? We're the earliest!! The rest are all late... So we ate from the scrumptious spread of buffet *yum yum* :) Our hostess was kept very busy entertaining all her friends, so we entertained ourselves hehehe.. Soon, the rest came! :) It was so good seeing them again! Zhijun had slimmed down a little and Jannies has longer hair now! Then we talked/gossiped/chatted... hehe, it was getting really stuffy out in the corridor so we decided to move inside Siti's place so we can catch Singapore Idol repeat and hopefully it would be cooler inside. We even tried to send a birthday SMS to Singapore Idol for our birthday girl, but I guess they do quite a bit of censoring... Didn't get to see the message in the end...

Now... Pictures from the birthday party!

The two-tiered birthday cake!

Food Fest!

Singapore Food Festival is ongoing now... And Plaza Singapura's atrium is filled with stores selling all kinds of food!! Oh, food glorious food! So last evening after work, Bern and I bought a box of Portugese egg tarts, Ramly burgers, Taiwan hot & spicy toufu and fishball and sausage from the Carrefour stand.

Then we rushed home because we wanna catch Singapore Idol in time.. Went to the taxi stand and to our amazement, we were greeted with a empty taxi stand with many taxis waiting for customers! Woohoo! We thought we were in luck.... only to realise that there are many taxis because of the recent rise in cab fare. And our cab fare came up to 21 buckaroos! this is crazy man... I will think twice and maybe twice before deciding to take a cab.. Time to learn to be punctual I guess hahaha

Was browsing through Ngee Ann's website and saw the announcements regarding the Singapore Idol finalists... They made a major embarrassing blunder man, it's Nurul Maideen and not Nurul Huda! They are two very different people. *tsktsk* It's kinda sickening how they only do this 'support support' thingy because they wanna 'claim' NP alumni people to show that we too can have a star-studded alumni, just like SP's Taufik and Kelly Poon. It's like... not personal anymore man.

I'm waiting to use the viewing station to check out the tapes... Gonna watch Wade Robson Project now!

I had quite a weekend. :)

Saturday was spent lazing till late afternoon. Scrapped the idea of playing tennis because.... we were only left with 2 tennis balls cuz I hit 2 off the tennis court that was situated on the roof of a building the last time we played. =D So in the end, we went off to my uncle's place earlier than usual so we could jog around the vicinity.

We covered our usual distance I guess.. passed by occupied houses, houses that were still under renovations, houses that were vacant, and houses with irritating dogs that wants to have the last bark.

After our jog, we cooled down, had our shower and ate dinner together with the rest of the family who were at home. Didn't feel exactly comfortable because there were two guests, both my aunt-in-law's family members were present at the dinner table. Watched a bit of TV before we decide to head off and grab some magnum ice-creams on my way out. But my grandma and aunt had other plans. They kidnapped Bern and made him eat durians while I was kept happy with my mini magnum ice-cream (they bought a box! yay!). :D and to that, Bern says that I 没有义气, got ice-cream, dont care about boyfriend already.

Sunday, we went to catch Superman at Great World City's Gold Class cinema :D The seats were really comfy and they come with blankets! It's good when you catch a movie which last over 2hrs :)

Yesterday was one of the days that I knocked off on time.. at 6:30pm. Met up with Bern and had Subway. Saw the Singapore Idol finalists climbing down their bus and into Plaza Singapura too.. Then we went into Aibi to check out trampolines because I wanna get one so I can jump around at home! =D the price's reasonable and now... hafta ask my mum if I can get one because it's gonna take up quite a bit of space at home...

And. My I/C is missing. I can't find it anywhere! >=( I hate misplacing stuff. Especially in my messy room. *RAWR*

Looking for seat-fillers for MTV Asia Movie Awards!

Don't say I never share good stuff with you all ah....

Hi everybody,

We are looking for 200 seat-fillers (male & female) on October 7, Saturday, for the MTV Asia Movie Awards. The event will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. And as always, it will be a star-studded event.

Can you please help to forward this email to your friends whom you think fulfill the pre-requisites below? Sorry but MTV staff will not be eligible at this moment.

Role of seat-filler:

Once a talent is pulled from their seat to present an award/receive an award/use the loo, seat-filler will take their seat so that the cameras will not capture empty seats in the audience. Once the talent returns to their seat, the seat-filler will have to vacate the seat and standby for the next round of seat-filling.

Pre-requisites of seat-filler:

- Well-groomed & must look good. Should not look too young/teenager-like. We are looking for a slightly more mature and poised audience

- Composed & well-behaved. No star-struck crazy behaviour, asking for autographs, etc. (They most probably might end up seated beside a big star so they should not maul him/her)

- Able to take instructions & respond quickly

Sorry, we can’t pay, but if they are selected, they will be able to attend the otherwise invite-only show and get a chance to rub shoulders with some major Hollywood & Asian stars!

Those interested may email me their names & a recent photo of themselves (image files should be less than 500KB).

Thanks for your help in advance!

These days

Life these days had been a little crazy. Was driven crazy with panic and anxiety when a particular package of more than 10 tapes didn't arrive as expected. Despite calling UPS 1895467523 times and each time, I get a different reply and it was positively frustrating because it would mean commercials that didn't have the tapes had to be dropped and it would mean doing my work all over again.

The package was shipped from Indonesia to Singapore, but somehow, it was misrouted to Germany and 2 days were wasted. Go Germany for what? Watch World Cup?? *faints* UPS, You People Suck. tsktsk.

So yup, the days were spent worrying when the package will arrive and today I got a confirmation that it will be arriving tomorrow for sure.

Gonna use the GV gift vouchers for Citibank GoldClass to catch Superman Returns, because that's the only movie showing there. :D Think it's going to be quite an experience. Read excerpt from the webby:
Citibank Gold Class Cinema offers the ultimate in comfort and luxury - an experience your clients or staff will never forget. This intimate cinema, with a seating capacity of 30, features fully reclining armchairs that makes everybody feel like a star. When you organize a Gold Class screening with us, you also have the privilege of booking our Gold Class Lounge to host a cocktail reception prior to your screening.

The weekend's kinda planned and I can't wait. :) I need to move my bones that have gone rusty without exercise. Yay to jogging and tennis! Yay to Kuishin-bo buffet and slacking at home and watching Pirates of the Caribbean and designing t-shirts together!

This is THE life, people.

Watching TV while working, feels like doing homework while watching TV haha!

My room's all cleaned up and mess-free again :) Took the entire (when i say entire, it's really entire) afternoon to pack and to throw out clothes that I don't wear anymore. Bern popped by in the afternoon and together we spent a non-productive afternoon together again :) sitting in front of the goggle box, laughing together at the silliness of the shows.

Things are all right at home, or at least I believe so. Everytime Bern/Kelda's friends come over to our house, they will greet him. But we don't. We can co-exist and tolerate his presence... but talking to him, takes too much of an effort. And I'm not willing to make that effort. Yet.

Friday night entry

It's been a crazy week at work. Hopefully things won't be like that for the next few weeks. Staying in office till 8ish is no joke. *bleahh*

Met up with my 1T01 classmates and some other poly friends at Tony Romas after work just the other day. It was nice seeing all of them, chatting and laughing at our silly jokes and antics we did when we were in year 1... Also had dessert at Ben & Jerry's! :) I miss all of them... A couple of them will be overseas starting July and the guys will be protecting the nation... I hope we will always keep in touch people. :) Let's revive our class blog!!

I think I'm going to fall sick soon.. My throat's feeling dry and scratchy and my nose feels like a running tap at times. =( But bern's really sweet and he got me some drink for me... and bern came across two programmes this afternoon regarding the condition i was suffering some time earlier.. and it's not gastric.. rather it's inflamnation of the esophagus... *note to self* chew food properly, don't swallow food in a rush, eat soupy stuff, always sit properly and not in a lazy slouchy manner after meals *note to self*

Today's the last day for two of my colleagues... =( Gonna miss them... Gonna miss bugging them on msn, asking them about work related-stuff when I need help.. Their jokes and funny comments during lunch time when we eat together... But I'm happy for them that they are moving on to greener pastures and they are happy as well. :)

La Senza's opened at Plaza Singapura!! :D Hehehe, Chiuyan's like so happy.. :) I popped by after work with Bern and I couldn't resist... so I bought 2 hehehe.. Just two weekends ago, we went lingerie shopping too! hahaha... Then we went to Bugis to get my eyebrows trimmed and a new bag! =D I'm a bag whore, I won't denyy. Thanks baby for the bag! :D

Bern and I have adopted a neighbourhood kitty cat as our stray pet. *muahahaha* i named it 肥猫 because it looks a lot bigger than the other cats around. it behaves like a puppy and gallops/runs towards us whenever we call out to it. so we fed 肥猫 from resealable pack of dried crunchy cat food that bern always carry in his bag.. so adorable lah :)

This has been a pretty random entry today.
