:) days have been looking good good good! hehehe, got several pieces of good news.. my results.. our [eunice + i] radio journ news package were one of the selected ones for RSI... my animation banner ad has been used on a real website.. so WOAHHHH. x) its been a long time since i felt such satisfaction.

friday marked our 5th month together. =) intially we went to the loof for dinner but we were a leeeetle late and there were people who made reservations already.. so we hopped over to chijmes which was nearby instead. and people..... i had my first....

haha, you know before i ate escargots, i always thought they would taste funny.. slimy.. yucky.. but i was wrong! it's actually quite tasty.. hehe x) dinner was really good and it felt like we booked the entire restaurant because it's empty inside (most ppl choose to sit outside)! =p

ooh, i finished reading the da vinci code.. dan brown is really brilliant. *thumbs up* now im starting on angels and demons. =)

lazy saturday for me.. =) bern came over and watched vcds with me.. then he went to school to pick up my shoes while i stay home to keep my sister company. not safe to leave a little girl alone at home you know?

*sigh* my granny has moved. my granny's flat is now vacant. it feels really weird because i've been dashing in and out of our houses since young and now... it's no longer the case. i no longer have a granny who comes over to my room and ask what i want to eat for breakfast. i no longer cross over to my granny's place for dinner or to watch tv together. if i want to do so, i have to go to mandai where she and my aunt, my uncle are living in their spanking new terrace house.

ok, back to my saturday.. when bern came back, we watched Big Fish and we had dinner with my family. after that, we commenced on cleaning up my messy room! =) it's so much neater now... my bedroom floor has never seen so much surface in god-knows-how-long. hahha!

earlier part of sunday was spent at home.. chilling, watching vcds. then met up with bern to go jogging at botanic gardens! =) the jog was good despite the rain/drizzle which didn't really dampen our spirits.. hehe it's high-time to include exercise back in my life if i dont wanna gain weight and grow a double chin.. =P by the way, do you know that on an average, people on their first job gain 2 kg? i dont wanna gain that terrible 2kg!! guess botanic gardens will be a place i'll be visiting regularly from now on! we saw loadsa dogs.. =) dog owners are really friendly towards each other... =)

and yah.. i'm going to get a new phone in april... and i'm spoilt for choices.. ARGHS! hate it when i'm indecisive. >=(

i didn't exactly have a good start this morning.. i missed 4 99 buses in a row!! *murphy's law in motion* so darn bloody annoying >=(

but seeing my results made it up for the bad start. ;)

new beginnings

I'm always looking forward to the end of the day, even before the day starts. this is bad. ahhaha =)

so yesterday i had a new assignment - to take pictures of the locations that we are intending to buy space to put up advertisements! haha, i jumped at the opportunity because i was so bored of facing my computer from 9-6pm =p

then met up with my baby after work and we went to get the refund from my 'lost' ezlink card which has already been found.. &#^$*%@! got a refund of $44+ bucks... so i gave a 'treat' to my baby =D

went to Pepper Lunch for dinner for yesterday with my baby! =) our first time there and i love that place already.. hehe.. cuz it allows me to play with food =P and play pretend to cook it.. =) by the end of it.. i was damn full and satisfied x)

then we also picked up my tiffany & co necklace.. okay lah, only the pendant's tiff&co, the necklace is perlini's silver.. hahaha =p now it's bright and sparkling!

the we bought tickets to watch Date Movie.. hahaha, it's one kind of a show.. a parody of many others.. interesting to watch, both me and bern kept going "oohhh", "eewww", "oh my goodness", "what kind of a show is this" hahaha =)

im again the only one in the office! x) well.. not really alone cuz i've got the bobbing head stitch and bob to keep me company.. =)

it's been a long time since i last blogged. meant to blog but i was too caught up with everything happening around me, AGM and the likes.

so yes... after work on friday, met up with bern and we walked around this toy store where bern got me this spongebob PEZ sweet dispenser and the stitch toy with the bobbing head [supposedly to reduce your stress levels] that caught my eye. We had our dinner at Fish & Co. My food came late so we were slightly delayed.

We took a bus and we napped... and we missed our stop! hahhaha, so we hopped off the bus and took a cab to the indoor stadium. We were.... 1/2 hour late. haha, we quickly took our seats and settled down. Disney On Ice was great! =) Those performers made ice-skating seem really easy-peasy.. Then came intermission and we went out to see the stalls selling the exorbitantly-priced disney merchandise.. got the iceball in flounder cap! damn cute lah can.. haha, the iceball was pretty bland.. so bern asked for more syrup for the iceball.. =)

speaking of buying the disney merchandise, it reminds me of my younger days when my mum first brought me for my first disney on ice show - beauty & the beast. i wanted to buy this particular toy, but my mum refused to. so being the spoilt brat that i were then, i kept whining throughout the first part of the show, "not nice to watch one". finally my mum couldn't take my nonsense anymore and she bought me the toy that i wanted and i behaved well and occasionally said "wahh, very nice!" =P

Then it was at the end of the show.. that I realised that I missed out some of the disney stories that i like alot.. like Little Mermaid.. Pocahontas.. Aladdin.. yadayada.. =( But it's okay.. I still managed to catch Mulan and Lion King.. =)

Went home and got the AGM slides all done and prepared the cheerleader survival kits and door gifts. Only managed to sleep at 4ish and left home at 10 odd. AGM went alright, and we took alot of pictures! haha, didn't have the appetite to eat, just like when i was running the PITCH events..

dropped by damien's birthday gathering for a short while.. took a dip in the pool with bern, ju leen and kenny.. after that we headed down to changi village :)

then we saw the kiddy rides i used to take when i was a kid!!



hahaha, nostalgic. (: i remember my mum used to let me take these rides at bugis/chinatown areas.. if my memory didn't fail me.. =) those were the more carefree days...

then we also saw the dragonfishes which helped their owners strike 4D/Toto/lottery


they are all in tanks with photocopied sheets of paper showing the winning numbers bought by owners who rear dragonfishes.

then we went to the market and bought several little items to fill our tummies! :) like fried carrot cake.. chicken wings.. and chee kueh. x) then we went to play sparklers!

then came sunday, my appointment at Roots. :) was late, so I ended up waiting for quite a long while and I finished reading The Alchemist in the process. I like that place.. cheery colours.. and they serve tea for their customers! I mean.. it's really an additional service that I don't see in other neighbourhood salons.. So I couldn't cut the hairstyle I wanted because I didn't have the length to do so due to previous haircuts =( And Kenneth's policy is that we need healthy hair to look good.. so yeaps.. decided to cut it short and wait for my hair to grow out more. :) hehehe, and he gave me an asymmetrical fringe which is kinda hard to upkeep! so every morning, I spend 10 mins or so blow-drying my hair and trying to part my fringe properly.. Sometimes, I feel like cutting it straight so it wouldn't be so hard.. haha =)

We had Carl's Jr and we made a quick trip to Candy Empire to take a look at the galore of sweets, chips, chocolates and more! =D bought wonda candies and bars. feel like a little child inside.. :D

After that, bern and I headed for the Mosiac Music Fest @ the Esplanade. Managed to catch several performances. Saw The Suns and also the the flamenco traditional performances...





I only like those pieces whereby the ladies stand up and dance =P

We also saw this very unique concept teddy bear shop.. It's a customised teddy bear store whereby you pick the fur, the stuffing [how hard/soft you want your bear to me], the clothes, and choose how fluffy your want your bear's fur to be.. and then.. *ta-dah!* your bear is done and go ahead and fill up your bear's birth certificate!

Then on Monday, my boss gave everyone a treat cuz the company's receiving quite a number of deals. =D we went to halia restaurant at the orchid garden/botanical gardens for lunch. the food's really good x) hehe.. damn shiok! i hope the company makes more money while i'm still around... ^^)

Then I met up with my sec skl friends at berkos after work! :) It's been a long time since I last met up with them.. Vel.. Guangxian.. Jiaying.. Jiahui.. Xiuhui.. =) Really happy to see them after so long.. Seems like we are all growing up.. ;)

everything's going fine... :) managed to finish quite a bit of work yesterday as well as today.. but i really think i have a short attention span. =S i get bored too easily. and for my accomplishment for the day [yesterday], baby got me a nail file! :D from paul and joe.. very very pretty :) thankyew so much!

ms paul told andrew who asked me if we want to submit our PITCH project for the PRISM award... i say, why not? :) it will be pretty cool to win such an award... will look good on resume.. HAHAHA!

oh, and that reminds me of the leo burnett book im supposed to return to her. needa go down to school to get it returned. :)

finished reading the 5 people you meet in heaven. :) it's a great book.. if you have time, go borrow it and slowly read it, savour each word.. =) every life is connected, somehow.

i like my company loads. :) the ppl are easy-going, i see no trace of bitchiness as what i've thought advertising would be like. everytime we eat out together, my boss always give me a treat. =) most of the time, i would be doing work, their kind of work. and last friday, i FINALLY get to do the more mundane stuff interns do =p folding letter, putting them into envelops and sticking on stamps before sending them out. it's crazy stuffing 230 letters into envelops, and i still have more to go when i step into office on monday tomorrow. haha brainless work.. i like =X

so the competition's over. tears have been shed. we didn't lose, we just came in 2nd place, although it's a position lower than we've aimed to achieve. the challenge trophy just wasn't meant to be ours this year.

but what's heartening is that, despite all this, the magnum spirit is in the air. everyone's tighter and closer than ever. everyone's got each other's back. maybe, it's a blessing in disguise. maybe it's not such a bad thing after all. i've unofficially graduated, but my heart's still with magnum. once a cheerleader, always a cheerleader i guess. i'll still be popping by, to train, to see you guys and to be your cheerleader :)
p/s: and you know what mr chia talked to me after the comp? he said that he's willing to give support for magnum's needs... if we need to go further for cheerleading exchange/camps.. the school will help! :D so... i guess the japan cheerleading summer camp might just come true for the next batch! but... must show them that you're worth it yeah? :)

tomorrow's the performance for the new batch of 11 men.. plus me and roc, the old old seniors... :) we trained hard just now... and we are going to train even harder tomorrow morning! aiming for a perfect routine to showcase to our PM Lee what's magnum force made of. afterall, we must be quite something, that's why mayor amy khor will recommend us to perform yeah? ;)

and i hate how irresponsible you can get. i told you before, no verbal agreement to be made about performances. Let the organisers go through me, let me know, inform me, get the organiser to send me an email so i can keep track of it. everything's better written down and recorded because when you do verbal agreement, anyone/everyone can point the accusing finger and make claims. and i think you haven't learnt from your lesson since the bad experience with fuji xerox. it's annoying me big time. and everytime, it's always ME who picks up the crap after the mess you make. thank god this is the last time i'll be working with you. *HRMPF!* i dont think you're that inspiring as a coach. oops, now now that was a little too obvious isnt it?

i have very low EQ when i'm tired and cranky. i shan't bitch too much.
it's crazy training till 2am and getting ready to leave home for work at 8am. my eyes are tired, my vision is blurry and i still have so much to do. ARGH!!!

this is all going to end soon. if i can make it through this, i can take on anything.

On another note, come support us at Toa Payoh HDB Hub on 9th March 2006 at 6pm! The open category is expected to start around 6-7pm.. so yups, dont miss it! :)
